lolwut? Apparently I have two different join dates, both within this last month. Which is interesting since I had that curse updater forever and required some sort of login. And my avatar is exactly the same as my BF3 account.

it's fun. It feels like Tribes. My only real issue is regenerating health, but that's a modern gaming convention (dicks) and I think it's here to stay.

Huge emphasis on skiing, so get used to that.

it didn't seem like it was trying to be steam, just a patcher/launcher that like every multiplayer game has now.

Dan and I had a discussion today about Tribes. I basically came to the conclusion that if Tribes is the father to Halo, which was the real kick-start to the whole console FPS thing, if I had a time machine, I would make sure Tribes would never come out and the Call of Duty franchise would've never happened.

Would you do the same thing, Tuhl/Grimmbro?

While I'd say I could live with just Quake and Unreal, Tribes was the better part of my middle school gaming experience. I'd be hard-pressed to give that up. Plus, skiing and jetpacks. It might be the father of all those shitty games, but if so, they're unrecognized bastard offspring.

It'd be like blaming DOOM or Wolf3D for the entire genre. As if the invention of FPS deserved "blame" ya know?
