Me: Doc, my nose won't work for breathing.
Doc: Oh. You have a huge tumor growing in your left sinus. $$LOL$$!!
Me: Wat?
Doc: Don't worry! It's only a 10-15% chance of being cancer.
Me: Wat?
Doc: Probably should clear your calendar. We'll need to remove that next week b/c if it's cancer... But, it's probably not.
Me: I don't even.
Doc: Take all these meds pre-op, then we'll take that out through your nose...it's very cool really.

Last week:

Doc: We took that out. It looked like an eel! Pretty cool. Hello? Are you awake?
Me: *drool
Doc: We sent it to pathology. We'll get back with you on the cancer thing.
Me; *drool
Doc: Oh, and there was a lot of bleeding. We had to leave a sponge in your head. LOL! We'll get that out soon.

Monday:

Doc: This might hurt. I hope you took some hydro before you came up here.
Me: SON OF A BITCH!!!!!!!!!!!!
Doc: Can you believe this sponge was in your head and we just pulled it out through your nose? LOL!
Me: SON OF A BITCH!!!!
Doc: Oh. Pathology came back. Not cancer. Grats. In fact, it wasn't even a papilloma. So no worries.
Me: SON OF A BITCH!!!

So, ya. Really glad to NOT have cancer, but this whole thing reminded me of women who find a lump and the medical community just acts like, "Just do what you do until we figure this out. We'll get back to you." It's kind of hard not to go over the "what ifs" while you're waiting.

So, Happy Thanksgiving to me! And, to all of you, as well. :D

That's somewhat similar to waiting to hear back from the doctor about an STD test. Only less lethal and more embarrassing.

So the Goothads isn't going to be delivering left-over Thanksgiving dinner to cancer patients at the local hospital instead of inducing a week-long Turkey coma on ourselves.

Am disappoint.

Fact: Dooj buds smaller doojes. This one just happened to bud inside its body, so was sponged for his insolence.

Yay! This is good news!

Also, just a fun FYI, if you get surgery, you can ask to keep all removed pieces or organs. Some religions require burial of any removed parts, others need to be buried with said parts, etc. Pretty cool/weird.

I'm a donor. Bury mine in someone else.

And now to form a pick up line that starts with 'Some religions require you to be buried with your organs' and ends with 'I'd like to donate an organ to be buried in you.'.

And some hospitals, if you don't ask to keep your pieces, will sell your removed bits to research companies, which will then proceed to synthesize cultures from your DNA. And then there'll be a huge property-rights lawsuit which every first year will have to slog through, to determine whether we have property rights in our own bodies.

Turns out we don't. +1 corporations.

Agreed.

Generally you'll have one removed while you're still alive because it's not suited to do its job though, so donating it is out of the question anyway. Dooj should've kept his nose eel and put it in a jar.
