Note that the article says the boy was born in rural Brazil. Do a few google searches about pesticides that are illegal in the West and mysterious health conditions in rural Brazil.

It will probably have serious medical problems later in life - but if it survives, I think there is a lot of potential for two heads to truly be better than one. I could see a two-headed individual being able to do a lot of things that two people with one head, or non-conjoined twins, couldn't do easily.

Anything that diverges from the norm has the potential to be a positive adaptation. That which is good is that which gives strength.

Would removing one of the heads kill the other? I didn't read the article so I don't know if it mentioned it or w/e

It sounded like 2he skeletal frames from the waist up, but only one set of vital organs, so my non-professional opinion would be yes it would kill both.

They would have to do some pretty extensive testing to figure out which head controlled which organs. If one head controlled everything they might be able to remove the second, but it's more likely each head controls part of the body (as is the case with the conjoined girls born in America: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Abigail_an ... any_Hensel). Thus if one head died the other would suffer, which is what happened to the first two-headed baby born in Brazil.
