Whatever our attitudes towards GW2, from kaiten fangirl to jaded cynic, it's safe to say that almost all of FUBU will be there on Day One. That's a given.
It's also a given that GW2 - like all big MMO releases, especially those that are not sub-based - will have more than its fair share of conveniently mutually exclusive preorder digital redemption items from various corps that are not even marginally involved in gaming, including not only shopping outlets but also food and clothing vendors. Probably at least a dozen such exclusive items.
(Star Trek Online, for point of reference - many of these items are powerful)GW2 will be the biggest and most expensive MMO launch ever, and just as the first day of Christmas steadily inches towards July, so too the preorder offers shall be hawked ever earlier, long before the game goes gold.
Not all of us are pathologically obsessive completionists or have a psychotic inability to deal with denied opportunities. Many, if not most of us, just don't give a shit. But surely there is benefit to be had, for all of us, in terms of things we can really agree on - in-game status and power, and cold hard cash - to work together to maximize our preorder opportunities.
So, I created this thread.
As exclusive preorder options or other ways of getting Free Stuff Now in GW2 emerge, please post them here. We should all work together to exploit every option in our respective regions (sit down, maple syrup sipper) such as certain chains and food franchises unique to our regions and mail/exchange items amongst ourselves.
So - if you become aware of any offers, please share them here.
