Blizz has been good about not bothering me. I guess they got the message that I think their game sux.

Eve Online though...I did their trial and canceled my account because I realized that game really sucked (sooo boring building a shitty ship and blahhh)....now they e-mail me all the time.

I always use the 7 days free they keep sending me. It's very kind of them. Sucks when it's on my RAF account though.

I like the email after the 7 days is up, asking me to resub

We hope you enjoyed your 7 days of FREE game time on your account. In order to keep playing World of Warcraft®, you'll need to set up a subscription or add game time. To do so, simply click the link below or log in to your Battle.net account.

nothx, another 7 days free plz

I really don't understand why I haven't gotten one such offer from Blizzard. Ever.

I played for well over two years and gave them tons of money. I guess they think I suck :(

I guess I'm not cool enough to get free play time. Maybe since I haven't played in about a year. I get the urge to play again, but I know it is just a waste of dosh.

And now I have the urge just by typing this :x

If you don't play, then how ever will you ride a ghost mount?

Why ride ghosts when I can ride Invisible and have ghostly pals that sing lullabies instead? I'll even let you take a peek.

Blizzard has their pet sites post bland screenshots with a Twitter that's supposed to be enigmatic or something. Am I supposed to be excited? Overcome with suspense? About a recycled model, not even an original recolor, in a seven-year-old game in terminal decline?

The new mount either costs money or it doesn't.

Either way, I don't give a shit. I can't even find anyone to accept my gold for the latest store mount, and I'm not even using all my farming lockouts each week. I'm not even replacing my auctions as they sell, just slowly liquidating my inventory through attrition.

The game itself is honestly still decent, it looks a lot better having seen other MMOs control and graphics in the interim, but the community is just such total shit these days I cbf with it.

It's retarded that I'm expected to spend more money, for less content, to prop up a game that is in decline, when we picked it up with the understanding that it would be wholly sub-based.

What's even more retarded...is that these Activision guys have taken an immensely lucrative franchise and run it into the ground down to nothing in the space of under two years. Maybe you'd think, well, they're just in it for the money. But even that doesn't hold. Profits have remained about the same while revenues have fallen dramatically.

So Kotick and co haven't even particularly enriched themselves, all they've done is broken the franchise. This isn't even about greed; it's about arrogant and stupid execs who think that they're awesome because they managed to leave some sort of mark on something, and never stop to question why they have to buy new IPs every two years, from outside developers, and yet don't produce better returns on said capital than anyone else in the business.

Aestu of Bleeding Hollow...

Nihilism is a copout.

Those 7 days really are the best way to play now. I get the urge to play again right before I get these free trials, then when it's up my thirst has been quenched until 2 months later when I get the urge again and another trial is in my box. These trials were the reason that I decided to start playing on another server (ravenholt). It's an RPPVP server and has a pretty good community. I joined one of those guilds that accepts anyone (which btw during my last time playing I had a guildie buy me my epic flying because I guessed a number from 1-100!) but they do some kind of pve or pvp and yes RP event pretty much every night.
