Anyone else have/getting? This is the first fighting game I've owned. I'm absolutely loving Julia, but can't seem to settle on a second.

Tekken was the best fighting game when I had a PS1/PS2. And since I don't own any consoles besides an original Xbox, no.

Tekken is awesome. It is shadowed only by Soul Caliber.

I don't have a console either though, because I'm not a baby man.

Man I remember going to the arcade on the weekends and spending the whole day there playing other people in Street Fighter and Mortal Kombat. Good times

By the time i got into arcades it was Tekken 3 and KoFsomethingi spent all my money on. I don't think i was ever actually any good at Street Fighter. Never got into the Marvel games much either despite loving the shit out of Marvel.

I dug the Soul games when i was younger but then Mayumi had Tekken 3 on the praystation and it was all over from there. Still remember that time he kept owning us with his eyes closed, totally shitfaced. Jerk.

My cousin and I went to see a movie, in theatres. Spent like 50 bucks on snacks and tickets for just two of us. Sucked all around. On the way out we spent like a dollar playing Marvel vs Capcom for 5 minutes. Didn't know shit, literally just smashing buttons. It surpassed the movie experience in both cost and enjoyment.


The only real side fighters I've played were the original Mortal Kombats and Soul Calibur 2. Got to be amazing with Ivy.

I've played whatever Tenkachi3 Dragonball game it is that was one of the more recent ones, it's fun but no one else was good at it. I run a mean Trunks.

I used to play Fight Night Round 2 and beat people with my feet while eating noodles. Was fun times.

Finally, the only console game I play religiously is Brawl+. I am the best if not one of the two best out of my (pretty large) group of friends, two of which went to tournaments on a regular basis. I love Captain Falcon and recently I discovered the brokeness that is Wolf.

Meowth would be a shit with her on maps with edges, and pull off a midrange grapple that dropped you off it, and a classmate of mine in college could skillmash strings of across the map attacks on SC3.

Mitsubishi and Nightmare (Siegfried on 3).

Sometimes beating people with Nightmare (2) while stance dancing was fucking poetry.

Tekken Tag Tournament was the pinnacle of the series. This game does look interesting though. Other favorites of mine are Killer Instinct, Mortal Kombat 2 v2.1, Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo and Soul Calibur 2. Also played a lot of Darkstalkers, KoF series games, Marvel Vs Capcom 2, Samurai Showdown Series and of course the craziness that was Guilty Gear X(and X2).

Julia and Law have been my favorites in the tekken series since tekken 3.

I run a mean Future Gohan on Tenkaichi. Love that game.

But yeah, Julia and Xiaoyu are my cirrent favorites. I think I'm sticking to Tekken characters because I've played a decent amount of Street Fighter at my friend's place.

I find it easier to knock people off the map with Astaroth. Ivy is my control character. Long range, mid range, close range, she's got it all. I like to chain pull people to me, spam her 3 hit combo that hits like everywhere and knocks people into the air and then chain pull them out of the air back into the ground. Stab them with the whip from underground before they can get up, then repeat.

Nightmare always looked nice, I just haven't played in so long.






I run Long Haired Future Trunks and Kid trunks alot of the time. I use them in team matches with a healing power rush set up. Even without healing and shit, rush attacks are just nuts.
