Heard about this on the local radio news. They were debating on the future of such technology and possible uses and abuses. I think it's pretty cool though.

I'm sure they are working on it in Japan, that's where this last round of 3D cams / TVs started(they LOVE there porn over there pixels and all)

Hatsune Miku has always scared me. It's like, literally, one step away from an actual artificial pop star, which to me, signals the death of music. But her songs are so catchy!

Autotune and dubstep are already doing that. With Miku they still have people playing guitar and drums. Though I guess you could argue that vocaloid is similar to autotune.

I guess I can understand that but not sure I'd readily agree. I don't think the use of autotune or whatever automatically makes music bad. I think an artist who uses it compared to one that doesn't (and sounds just as good/better) is certainly less vocally talented, but in the end it's the final product that counts. If the final product is pleasing to listen to should it matter how it was made?
