Would they be okay with a Muslim-born twenty-something just waltzing into their place of worship? Serious question.
You don't look Arab Muslim. You look and sound Indian, and anyone who meets you would assume you are Hindu. Hindu Indians start out at Honored with Jews, because of shared cultural values. Bonus points if you mention you are a pre-med in dialogue.
Go to a Reform synagogue. They won't care about your background, unlike those Conservative faggots down the street. They value the chance to educate outsiders about their culture, and Jews as a rule do not proselytize.
Just tell them the truth, you have a Jewish friend who got you addicted to fruit slices and now you want to buy more. If you want, you can lie and say that you want kosher jellies (made from potato starch), and not the jelly snacks sold at the store (the gelatin is made from cow bones). This is factually true, and will not seem strange to them.

On a related note, the local synagogue has a banner outside their door which reads "WE SUPPORT ISRAEL in it's struggle for peace and security". It got me thinking - what if the local mosque had a sign proclaiming their support for Palestine? It would be burned down. Well, assuming it was allowed to be built in the first place!
This is why I avoid Jewish gatherings. I got tired of listening to the Zionist garbage a long time ago.
I believe that American Jews are ultimately most responsible for the cycle of violence there because they unequivocally support the most expensive and aggressive Israeli policies even though it's not their fight and they completely don't understand the national situation. They do this for the same petty and evil reasons WASPs buy into Christian evangelism.
