I got this in my email.

I was wondering if it was an actual email from blizzard or scam. I mean my subscription stopped in March..

[email protected] is not their website, they also don't ever e-mail people when their account is banned/locked they just do it.

Okay, thanks. I also saw after I posted it that it had some typos and I would assume Blizzard had spell check. The "http" says https and the Entertainment at the bottom is missing the last T. Better to be safe then sorry though.

i think it's real. you should probably reply with your SSN and mother's maiden name just to be safe.

When in doubt turn on "full headers" and look at the "return path" if its joe blow at hotmail then it's def garbage

I always take the email from the headers and email them saying something along the lines of "gfy with a soldering iron" or "fuck you giggledick".

I'm sure 90% of them can't figure out what giggledick is supposed to mean either because they can't find it in the English->Chinese dictionary.

Most of my wow spam originates from Hotmail, checking the headers is a good idea.

Also, verify the site linked. Every one that I have received that has an 'official' looking URL actually links to a different site than what the text says.

ie: <a href="http://www.blizzard-numba-one-scam-site.com">http://www.blizzard.com</a> <- click that without checking the actual URL, I dare you.
