Then wouldn't the right thing to do would be to sin as to not let his death be in vain?

In fact, wouldn't the right thing to do would be to sin as much as possible to make his death even more worthwhile?

But then, did he really sacrifice anything in the first case? I mean, he went to heaven, which is paradise.

Which then, would that not mean Jesus went to paradise for our sins?

So then, we would have been lead on that he sacrificed for our sins, but he actually went to paradise.

Lying is a sin.

Did Jesus then sin for our sins?

Jesus died because God said whomever believes in Jesus as God's only son will find salvation since we're plighted with original sin - wasn't that the point of God sending Jesus to the world... to guide us and free us from our original sin?

Committing more sins doesn't make his death any more or less meaningful. An individual committing sins just bars their entry into heaven. Those who live pure lives and believe in Christ will go to heaven; sinners, to hell.

Something like that, anyways. It's been over a decade since I've read the Bible. :P

Edit: He didn't commit any sin by being killed.

who is this jesus fellow?

If it's true that our species is alone in the universe, then I'd have to say the universe aimed rather low and settled for very little.

Genesis, in hebrew, in numeric format, forms a torus. A donut. Torus, Torah.

Now to show you that it's all true...

Quote:
Genesis 22 (King James Version)

Genesis 22

1And it came to pass after these things, that God did tempt Abraham, and said unto him, Abraham: and he said, Behold, here I am.

2And he said, Take now thy son, thine only son Isaac, whom thou lovest, and get thee into the land of Moriah; and offer him there for a burnt offering upon one of the mountains which I will tell thee of.

3And Abraham rose up early in the morning, and saddled his ass, and took two of his young men with him, and Isaac his son, and clave the wood for the burnt offering, and rose up, and went unto the place of which God had told him.

4Then on the third day Abraham lifted up his eyes, and saw the place afar off.

5And Abraham said unto his young men, Abide ye here with the ass; and I and the lad will go yonder and worship, and come again to you.

6And Abraham took the wood of the burnt offering, and laid it upon Isaac his son; and he took the fire in his hand, and a knife; and they went both of them together.

7And Isaac spake unto Abraham his father, and said, My father: and he said, Here am I, my son. And he said, Behold the fire and the wood: but where is the lamb for a burnt offering?

8And Abraham said, My son, God will provide himself a lamb for a burnt offering: so they went both of them together.

9And they came to the place which God had told him of; and Abraham built an altar there, and laid the wood in order, and bound Isaac his son, and laid him on the altar upon the wood.

10And Abraham stretched forth his hand, and took the knife to slay his son.

11And the angel of the LORD called unto him out of heaven, and said, Abraham, Abraham: and he said, Here am I.

12And he said, Lay not thine hand upon the lad, neither do thou any thing unto him: for now I know that thou fearest God, seeing thou hast not withheld thy son, thine only son from me.

13And Abraham lifted up his eyes, and looked, and behold behind him a ram caught in a thicket by his horns: and Abraham went and took the ram, and offered him up for a burnt offering in the stead of his son.

14And Abraham called the name of that place Jehovahjireh: as it is said to this day, In the mount of the LORD it shall be seen.

Symbolism bolded/underlined.

Jehovah = Yahweh.

This is the only surviving copy of God's name. It has been replaced by LORD, which means BAAL.

You have been deceived for far too long. Welcome to the end of this baal game.

edit: note: the mount where this occurred is the same mount used for sacrifice up to and including Jesus.

Baal was the god of the Caananites and later the Carthaginians. He was regarded in the Judeo-Christianity as a false god - your characterization of him as synonymous with the Jewish god has no basis in fact. In practice, the worship of Baal involved rituals sacrilegious to both Jewish and pagan faith, amongst them the sacrifice of human children, something the Greeks found so offensive that at one point they forced the Carthaginians who lived near them to sign a treaty forbidding them from doing so.

Excellent, you failed reading and went off on a tangent as expected.

EDIT:

I said they substituted the name with LORD to deceive.

Further deceit: The pope decreed that catholics can't say the name of God.

Speaking of sacrifice of human children...

I read what you wrote. Ba'al in Hebrew or Phoenician means Lord, not vice versa. Lord would mean Ba'al only in an inapplicable context, as it wasn't the word chosen to represent the Jewish god himself, only the Canaanite god. The word equivalent to Lord used in that context is "Adonai".

How long shall this be in the heart of the prophets that prophesy lies? yea, they are prophets of the deceit of their own heart; Which think to cause my people to forget my name by their dreams which they tell every man to his neighbour, as their fathers have forgotten my name for Baal. (Jeremiah 23:26-27)

Smile and nod.
