I've been waiting for them to finish in my neighborhood so I can order. From the pricing I've seen, I can get pretty much all the channels and about twice the interblog bandwidth for less than I'm paying Time Warner. I am going to happily jump ship and sign up as soon as I can.
A few co-workers already have it, and they say it's much better than cable. From what I've been able to gather from them, you can only have 4 simultaneous TV feeds active at any given time. This isn't really a problem for me since you can also stream from one DVR to another, or so I've heard. NTSC and QAM are not things they have any desire to use, so you would have to use one of their boxes to receive TV signal. No more plugging up direct to your television. Or so I was told...
Only experience with AT&T other than cell phone (which is less than stellar) was from the ISP days. Their support line sucked donkey balls if you wanted to talk to someone, but once you had a ticket in place, they were very quick to roll trucks or whatever they needed to do. True story...an ice cream truck took out one of the poles that was carrying our fiber to their hub. They had us back up and fully operational within about 3 hours.
