Anyone remember this random 80's cartoon?

I thought there was already a thread similar to this but when I searched I couldn't really find where this would fit.

Anyway, I just finished watching the full three seasons of Avatar: The Last Airbender. After considerable time spent reflecting on the importance of cabbages my mind started to wander back to the cartoons I used to watch when I was a kid. I watched all sorts of stuff, but I especially liked the cartoons like Transformers and GI Joe and Voltron-- but there was another one I watched that I couldn't ever remember the name of. It was animated with people like GI Joe, but the dudes wore weird armor that looked Transformerish, and they could turn into animals.

After much googling I've determined the name of this show: "Visionaries: Knights of the Magical Light" (1987).

Did anyone else ever watch this? Is it familiar to any of you jerks?

I think I had one of the toys? I remember some person with a hologram animal in the chest-plate... probably fell victim to my Ninja Turtles.

I remember it. It lasted about five minutes, because both the toys and the cartoon were fucking retarded.

Same, I remember playing with the toys but never saw the show. I think my neighbor owned the toys or something.

Also, perhaps they didn't need so many characters that they were down to imaginary dragon things and mollusks.
