“A new study [study by Yale University astronomer Pieter van Dokkum and Harvard astrophysicist Charlie Conroy] suggests there are a mind-blowing 300 sextillion [stars], or three times as many as scientists previously calculated. That is a 3 followed by 23 zeros. Or 3 trillion times 100 billion.”

Conroy looked up how many cells are in the average human body — 50 trillion or so — and multiplied that by the 6 billion people on Earth. And he came up with about 300 sextillion. So the number of stars in the universe "is equal to all the cells in the humans on Earth — a kind of funny coincidence," Conroy said.

and if you were to look at a star and its planets, and then an atom, you'd realize that all that "space" exists everywhere, just in scale.

one giant fractal.

They just wanted an excuse to say "sextillion."

Man, good thing scientists that make forecasts, predictions and deal with the intangible/invisible are never ever wrong. Ever.

If the weatherman says "its going to rain", I bring an umbrella. What I don't do is demand the source of the forecast and try to debunk it as some sort of massive conspiracy trying to pressure people to invest in umbrellas.

It's more like listening to the forecast for lower Mongolia while you're sitting in Mexico. Even less, since the difference between 300 sextillion and "all the stars you see" will never make a difference to you, whereas weather patterns at least affect one another. Though really, haters gonna hate.

I knew it!!! We're all just bacteria in another beings body.

Now the only question is where within? Hopefully not the colon otherwise we'll just get flushed down the cosmic crapper :(

I'm pretty sure meteorologists aren't pressuring for legislation nationally and globally to compel people to buy umbrellas. I can't say the same thing for people in some other fields.

Guys guys, if we were bacteria in any part of the body it'd clearly be the Bleeding Hollow.

Pretty sure you're jealous.

Besides, even if Jersey were the colon, Ohio would be some worthless organ that the body could do without. Like the appendix.

The American Bible
Dagery 23:3 - "And so when the state of Ohio hath seceded, the Rivers shall flow with Blood and the Lakes with Bile. The lands of the lower East Coast shall go into a painful shock and with that a Deathlike numbness that only precedes Death itself shall take hold of the Country and send it to both ruin and eternal damnation."

I've been to ohio.

Nothing but deer roadkill and the rock n roll hall of fame, which i'm fairly certain was put there so that people wouldn't go.
