As a transplant out of Florida into the northerly world, it REALLY destroys my productivity at work when it starts snowing outside.

I basically sit staring out the window like this:

We are getting light snow in North Georgia. We had about an inch of snow on Sunday and this is looking like it will be a bit more. I live in the Tennessee Valley and we are flanked by mountain ranges that tend to either block or subdue snow storms (normall block unfortunately) so any time we get snow it is news. Unfortunately since I am an yankee import I look at how they shut down roads and schools here and laugh my ass off. People here cannot drive in the snow at all, any amount of snow, like seriously an inch of snow shuts down schools and shit. But my girls have a blast, the little one can chuck a snowball witht he best of them, and I get to remember what real snow is like (4 years in Maine) so its fun. If we get anything substantial I will post pics.

I was the same way when I went to prep school. It was so pretty! I like visiting the mountains, but I love the fact that it was in the 80s this weekend.
