Considering I believe that Tom Cruise was the only saving grace of Tropic Thunder, I find it funny, awesome, and not too surprising that he got a spinoff for like 10 minutes of screen time (much like Machete). This is all fairly old news but I just wanted a bump for justice!

he was as surprisingly hilarious in that movie as he was surprisingly good in interview with the vampire.

I like to believe he single handedly saved that movie. He stepped on set and was like "alright, let me show you noobs how it's done".

I would almost say it was a big letdown, but considering I knew it was gonna be shit before hand I won't. Though it did surprise me just how terrible that movie was.

Cruise's character was my least favorite part of Tropic Thunder but to each his own.

What about the feaux trailers at the beginning?

"Satan's Alley" - With Tobey Macguire...I mean that was hilarious.

The whole movie was made to make fun of hollywood, 83% on RT...I don't get how you guys didn't like it.

Oh well, to each his own I suppose.

Tobey Macguire's only good role is in Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas.

I am basing this entirely on having just seen Spiderman as his other movies, all of which were atrocious.

Fair enough. It was a cameo though that I was referring to. It was hilarious.
