I can't say I've had an experience quite like the above.. I can remember around the time MC came out and I had been logging insane hours that first year, as many as probably a million others had done would be driving on the highway and felt some strange urge to click the car in front of them and then /follow.

There are a couple of interesting situations in WoW that really do bleed into irl other than jokes/trends etc., I notice some useful military tactics employed in pvp that actually work have been used throughout history. Short ex: High ground, importance of unit cohesion, well educated and experienced leadership etc holding true. Also, imagine of so many players that have mastered the auction house and art of making insane amounts of gold in WoW, began applying as much of that dedication and perseverence to their IRL bank accounts.

Just some funny pre-caffeinated thoughts.

edit:

If there is just one thing I wish players would take from WoW, it's the women and sammich-making importance.

Hans Jørgen Olsen (12) used the tricks from video games to save itself from the situation.

12 year old Hans Jørgen Olsen from Leksvik in North Trøndelag feel years older after Thursday's action-packed meeting with the king of the forest.

Fearless: Hans Jørgen Olsen (12) appeared calm and calculating when the moose stood over him.
He and his sister (10) were on their way to school, and took a shortcut through a garden. Suddenly they stood in front of a moose Olm.

- It ran straight at us when it saw us, "says Hans Jørgen to Nettavisen.

Tried to scare the moose
His sister ran away, while Hans Jorgen was left to scare the moose.

- Were not you scared?

- I do not know. I screamed at it to scare the moose, but I realized quickly that it was not going to stop. Then I turned and ran and ran until I could not run faster, "said 12-year-old.

Elks obtained 12-year-old and butted him in the back. The backpack received the blow that sent Hans Jørgen headlong to the ground. When he got rolled around, there were large animal over him.

He played dead
- We held eye contact for a while, then suddenly put it off, "he said.

The idea to play dead, he had learned from playing online role-playing game World of Warcraft.

- When you get to level 30, you learn a trick called the "fake death". That's what I did - I pretended I was dead, and then the moose lost interest, "says the plucky 12-year-old.

- Were not you scared when either?

- It was basically okay, "says Hans Jørgen.

After the violent episode, he found his sister, and the two got on the bus to school. There he supervised the nurse at the school who could prove that he was only bruised.

- Rescued sister
- I am very proud of my boy. He saved his sister while he was quite cold when he got the big beast of himself, "the mother Julianne Olsen to Nettavisen.

Crew from Lensvik and Mosvik sheriff's office has been out and looked for moose.

- We have received notification of elgangrepet, and has been out a few laps and looked for the animal, the Adressa.no informed the sheriff's office.

edit: back on topic... as I said to tuhl in july 2009 "I do believe you, as a person who plays a warrior, could understand the need for reflection." I intended both meanings.

Not strange at all. Women who play video games a ton have lower self esteem (on average) than women IRL - therefore they are more willing to do naughty shit.

Wonder if there's any actual evidence behind that, or if that's even the causal relationship.

When you take your shirt off in front of a camera, you can always decide to turn the camera off.

When you take your shirt off in front of a man, you can't always decide to turn the man off.

She can if she's completely hot until she turns her back to me, slowly peels off her shirt and bra, then turns around to expose...

...how she completely marred one of God's most perfect works by plastering a Cougar from the inside of her thigh up to her shoulder, with a paw reaching over her breast. If I wanted to fuck artwork, I'd stick my cock in a Bottacelli knock-off. Overdone tattoos on a chick are gross.

She was really pissed when I tossed her out.
