Much as the person most suited to be in charge is the least likely to want to be in charge, so to are the people best suited to the constabulary the least likely to have any interest in it. You take what you can get, which unfortunately includes a large number of small penises with chips on their shoulders.

aestu should be a cop

would be most humurous, on a traffic ticket he would write an essay espousing why he does not like the car, why parking is a dangerous social issue and then point out he didnt even park the car well in the first place.

There's bad people working every job. Applying and getting into a police department somewhere doesn't make you a paragon of virture.

I've never seen a video of a guy complying with a police officer's directions and getting his ass beat though.

The guy was within his legal rights to have his camera out and on. So why the fuck should he comply with the officers directions to turn it off?

because he told the cop he didn't live there, and then changed it and said he did live there.

the cop doesn't know you and can't trust most people at their word. I didn't see anything in the article about what was going on taht had the cop there in the first place(i skimmed it) but i imagine he wanted to be in control of the situation while he was there.

I'm not saying he should have been doing what the cop did, but if a cop says "get down on the ground" then you should get down on the ground. better to be inconvenienced than have your shit kicked.

yeah, i mean, of course he had to kick the guy in the face for using a video camera. That cop is just another nut bar on a power trip. Hope he gets fired. It doesn't matter if the guy "lived" on that property or not. He could've been a guest of the owner. The cop had no authority to even be on that property. There isn't any angle here where that cop was remotely near being within his rights/duties.

You think I'm bad, meet my father. The most rigid, pedantic, obnoxious, socially inept clown you've ever met. Yells and screams constantly over the dumbest shit. Has an even more serious case of "I CANT HEAR YOU OVER THE SOUND OF HOW AWESOME I AM" syndrome than I do.

He's also utterly incorruptible and has super-human power of will.

Who would you prefer in a position of total authority?

I will say if he had complied he may have gotten less ruffed up. I think that cop was seriously pissed off for some reason or another to begin with. At least we can agree he was in the wrong. Honestly I tend to side with the police on most these matters though. I am not even going to begin to say I understand the kind of shit they have to deal with on a daily basis. I know a few cops and I know a few people that frequently end up having to deal with the cops because they are fuck ups/morons and using that info I know i could never be a cop. I would snap in a heart beat. lol

You're right aestu, being a dick to a cop for no reason whatsoever clearly worked out for the best for that dude.

I'd say kicking the shit out of someone is more of a dick move than exercising your right to operate a video camera. Jus sayin.

PS: Situations such as these are the reason why people have the rights to operate video cameras during police encounters.

Regardless of whether he lived there or not, he was still legally allowed to be there. In terms of private property, it's only trespassing if the person who owns it says you are trespassing. The cop flipped out for no reason and decided to swing his dick around because he thought the guy was being snarky and challenging his authoritah.

It's like I said before - give uneducated people power, and they will abuse it.
