I randomly decided to go to reddit as I've never been before and I came across this

Now, this exact same thing has happened to me before except the manager was some fatty covered in grease, eating chicken (really).

I thought it was only me up until now. After reading alot of the stories there I'm really not sure what to believe so I guess I'm just looking for second opinions (of the situation and of gamestop as a whole) and some possible discussion.

I wish Gamestop didn't charge 80 for the Metroid Prime set.

it isn't available anymore, so not really going to find it much cheaper. i got lucky with mine on ebay :[.

I had a co-worker who was telling me of when she used to work at Gamestop. What OP said is pretty much dead-on accurate, as the store manager was "forced by company policy" to hire another female. Sadly, she was the kind of "grrl gamer" that you'd expect, so she was dumb as a bag of bricks and didn't know about any game post-Sega era.

digital distribution was supposed to fucking help, this is all aids. as much as i don't really like every single game on steam save for very very few, they at least do their downloaded shit right. if it's adding to the game or should fucking be there to begin with, or they just want to throw it in later? grats here you go. if it's some useless shit (hat fortress 2) or anything else that doesn't even matter and just looks cool, throw your money away.
