Because he's a sex machine.

Honestly, some of that isn't (at least entirely) Obama's fault. The poverty numbers have been questionable for years, especially given recent reports that the average American considered to be 'impoverished' by the government owns (on average) at least one car, their own home, a computer, several TVs, and can afford monthly fees for such things as cable and internet. Some of the other things, while Obama's policies have contributed to the change, are also due to external factors like world events (flooding on the Mississippi and riots in the Middle East). Still, Obama is looking like he's going to take Jimmy Carter's place as the worst president ever.

Jubber

This is why I can't take you seriously.

But he's half-white, cool and he killed OBL. That adds negative Misery Index points, right!?

Clearly the price of sugar rising so dramatically is Obama's fault.

I guess that depends on who you ask. I'm sure OBL is pretty miserable about it.

Oh, wait, no he's not, he's fucking dead.

The price of sugar in the U. S. is artificially high because of protectionist tariffs on foreign imports...so if he dropped those, the price would drop. Honestly, though, ethanol production is probably driving this spike more than anything else, because sugar demand has gone up as the price of corn syrup has risen. Obama isn't the first President to sign onto the ethanol idiocy, and isn't any more responsible for this than the last few chuckleheads we've elected.

hey lets use food that would feed thousands of hungry children to instead feed thousands of gas guzzling shitwagons instead of forcing the auto companies to reach a really high standard of fuel efficiency.

I'm all for alternative fuel sources, but food isnt one of them. There's no reason to cause a famine because i want to drive an H7.

Ethanol also costs more energy to produce than it actually creates. So it's worse for the environment.

Hilarious.

Pretty much everyone but corn farmers and the politicians who represent them agrees that corn-ethanol subsidies are bad. I would be surprised if they get removed any time soon, though, since these kinds of subsidies have a lot of inertia. The US still subsidizes mohair production - it used to be strategically important when clothes were made of wool, but I don't think the US has a huge strategic interest in fake fur and toques these days.
