I always thought he was a good guy for what he did, and would be willing to do the same had it not been for all the shenanigans he had to endure.

It's funny to note that the first time I heard his name was in a Fresh Prince of Bel Air episode, where a doctor was named Dr. Kavorkian and every time he introduced himself people would gasp, until he corrected them by saying "Kavorkian, with an A". I didn't get the joke until I looked him up years later.

I believe he genuinely wanted to help ease people's suffering, and I think it's a fucking tragedy what he had to endure at the hands of our overly interventionist government.

His philosophy makes perfect sense. There is no reason euthanasia should, even for a second, be considered wrong.

It was assisted suicide. Not that I'm against it in any way, but he didn't have to go to medschool to teach people to OD on drugs.

I saw a video of a man he helped commit suicide once. The guy was in terrible shape.
I think a doctor is more qualified than anyone to help someone in taking their own life.

It's not a bad death either...you just go to sleep and then he injects you with something that stops your heart.
