Are you ever planning on getting [item]Val'anyr, Hammer of Ancient Kings[/item] and [item]Shadowmourne[/item]?

Haha yeah, eventually. I'm thinking of starting heroic ulduar runs, entice people with the prospect of a shiny new protodrake. But I haven't done the achieves myself yet, so I don't really know how to do em just yet. Maybe I should go and do a run with someone/ask someone how to lead a run?

Actually, I will do the latter: anyone have any tips/places I can look for guides to the achieves at 85?

Ulduar, no.

ICC25.... not sure. We zerged HLK down in a mix of Cata heroic gear and early T11 stuff with 25 people, but lost a fair amount of the group 2 minutes in. You can probably blow through it with a group of 20 without any issue.

I wouldn't mind taking part in the runs if I can finish my Val'anir after we finish yours. I have 7 shards rotting in my bank.

Estra is correct, the achievements are self-explanatory, at most Wowhead will fill you in with 15 seconds of reading. ICC is also zergable at 85 especially since the 30% buff still applies. You wouldn't need more than ten people to zerg it all down.

HLK25 is still a major obstacle for randoms from trade. It's zergable only in the sense that it can be zerged by players who understand the basic outline of the encounter. HLK25 has 100M HP, 70M adjusted for buff, which is about as much as Argaloth-25. But the mechanics are still pretty deadly - getting knocked off the edge, Defile, I'm pretty sure pug healers can't heal through the Cold either. I doubt Frostmourne room would be a problem even with multiple deaths, though.

On the whole, I would expect any pug group to go 11/12. I doubt trade channel pugs would be able to kill HLK25.

even I don't know some/most of the fights in ulduar and icc, my serious raiding days ended long before they came out
