Im looking to redue my gaming area. My limit is around 1000 dollars.

Any suggestions for some nice accessories to get?

So far im thinking another monitor for two, and a new computer desk. Anything else people have that fits a gaming area that I should look into?

I've been looking for a new desk, too. If you happen to find something like this (img) in golden oak (img) and made with solid oak instead of particle board and laminates, please let me know. I'd even take an unfinished desk that I can stain myself if you come across one.

For your setup, don't forget the surround sound system with subwoofer.

1. Make an L-shape arrangement with two tables to maximize useable space.

2. Purchase a small, wireless keyboard so you can continue to control your PC while pacing or walking.

3. Purchase a third monitor that mirrors your main monitor, so you can view and control your PC from your bed without having to relog or synchronize with your laptop.

4. Purchase two small, fashionable folding chairs so that you can have one or two people sit shotgun next to you, without having to waste space on another full-size chair nor force any guests to stand uncomfortably.

5. Even better, buy an extra keyboard and small monitor, small enough to be put away when not being used, but enough to create another terminal off the same PC for any guests.

6. Buy a grid-metal utility shelf and put it next to your PC. Keep all your supplies and large equipment such as printers there.

7. Also buy a bookcase. Overlooked but still useful. And it's not just for books, you can put CDs and boxes on it too.

8. Buy a large, powered HEPA filter. Honeywell makes really good ones. This will not only reduce dust and make cleaning easier, but it will also increase the performance and longevity of your equipment by preventing overheating due to dust constricting cooling units.

9. Buy a small refrigerator and/or a bottled water dispenser.

10. Buy a USB hub suitable for positioning directly above your keyboard, so you can easily plug things in without fumbling or having cables running everywhere.

11. Buy either a large potted plant, or a pithos with dried flowers, to add color. I recommend evergreen trees because they can survive with low light and heat.

12. Buy a feather duster and suspend it from a pin in the wall.

13. Buy a tablecloth!

14. Buy a hook to put your headset on. More fashionable than just throwing the things on the table, and prevents accidental damage.

15. Purchase not only a headset, but also speakers, and switch between the two as need be.

16. Consider not using a dual 16:9 monitor setup, but do what I do: a 16:9 paired with a smaller 4:3. It is much easier for the mind to rationalize a primary and secondary monitor than two equal monitors. It's also much more space-efficient since less horizontal desk space is used per inch of screen space because the 4:3 can be positioned at a sharp angle.

17. Orange crates are economical, practical and attractive storage.

18. Buy a simple toolbox to put your screwdrivers and other tools in, and another toolbox to put your PC spare parts in. It's helpful to have them near the PC, more often than you think.

19. Put your OS on one hard disk, your game directories on another, and your personal files on a third. Ideally, the OS should be on a conventional, internal disk; the game directories should be on an SSD, and the personal files should be on a conventional external disk. This way, you can take your files without your games, and vice versa, and you have plenty of space for files but the games get the benefit of SSD speed.

20. Coasters. You need them.

Wide-angle shot of my gaming area
Note the efficiently stored folding chair, the printers and HEPA device efficiently and neatly stored on racks to the left, the toolbox and handy items above, and the books next to drink on coaster. A lot of functionality, very neatly and attractively, in very little space.

Closer view of desk
Note the durable, clean, attractive lime-colored tablecloth, headphone on a hook, easy-access USB ports, and two separate hard disks. Again, a lot of functionality in very little space.

Bookcase area
Note coasters, neat arrangement of books, and handy maps.

Planned upgrades:
-Facade behind the desk to hide cables
-Still looking to buy a large PVC chair pad for 10k gold

Make sure you have space behind the screens on your desk so you can throw shit back there and forget about it for months at a time.

So far, I've decided I'm going to move my area to my basement for more area. My bedroom is limited with the amount of space compatible for a nice desk, and accessories. Besides, it gets around 120 degrees in my room with things running during the summer with no AC on >.>

There are some things I've come across on, but haven't decided what would be the better choice. Should I go the extra money and buy two more monitors, and have three total? Or have the one I'm using now, and buy a nice big TV and use that as a monitor and have two size disoriented ones? Which would look nicer, be cheaper and such?

TV monitors suck and don't work well in multimonitor setups.

I love Aestu's suggestions, very well thought out and put together. No bullshit man, that reads like a mini-guide on how to make a badass gaming man-cave.

Get a lazy boy, and a screen mounted on the wall facing down that you can play on while reclined.
