As the frequent target of some of his crazier tirades (suicide thread, etc) I can't say I would be sad to see him go. I am sure he is nice to some people. Heck, even Hitler had friends. It is his crazy behavior towards his perceived "enemies" that is truly outrageous.

The ignore feature really is useful. I placed him on the list the day the feature became available and it has been great. It is a little amusing to hear that he still "responds" to my posts since he knows I have him on ignore.

Honestly, if people just ignore his posts and skip over them, he will find a different forum to defecate in.

To clarify, I meant those who voted should be public knowledge. The people who actually use the board don't have a problem weighing in on the other people using the board, but twice now I've heard mayo use the 'well, people are pming me qqing' reasoning. If people are whining but not posting I don't feel like they're really the kind of people who should be deciding the content on he board with their complaining.

Most people would prefer to remain neutral in the eyes of the board and thus won't want to openly commit to any one side. Besides, if everyone who had a complaint brought it up publicly, we'd have multiple threads like this one. While fun, some people wouldn't like them. Not to mention the lolinternet peer pressure factor.

Can this include people who bitch endlessly but don't offer any sort of legitimate solution shouldn't get their voice too? Because I can just ban you from Meta right now and make reading these threads less of an eyesore.

Joklem approached me and wanted Aestu gone and I told him that he should make a public thread about it so people could express their concerns, considering Aestu is someone that everyone has an opinion on. Everyone has a voice on this board and if they don't want to make a gigantic pissfit out of their personal problems (like posting their problems on a highly heated topic in the public spectrum when an issue can be dealt privately), they have every right to act like adults about it.

Is there anything else you'd like to add, because I honestly feel you're just complaining for the sake of it.

EDIT: Right now, there's a 4-7 against and I don't see any new topics on the mod board about it, so unless there's some sort of a massive turnaround in the votes, I consider this a dead issue.
EDIT2: I don't feel like I have to say this, but just to get it out there, if public ban votes like this happen again, I'd appreciate it if mods don't vote on it, because then you'd be essentially double dipping. I'm not saying any of you are, by the way.

Going back through, I've offered solutions to the things I haven't liked.



Either ban me for disagreeing with you or knock it off with the tired threats. It seems like most threads where someone doesn't agree with the way things are going, they get threatened with a ban, it's gotten old.



I don't think these type of votes should be happening at all, but both the vote and the issue are over.



I'm discussing things that I feel are the wrong way to go about handling issues based on why the board was founded. If it seems that I am disagreeing with you more than you'd like, perhaps it's because some of your actions have been counter to why the board was started.

If you don't like Aestu and/or his shenanigans, you can ignore him. This was a more than adequate solution pointed out in the course of the discussion. More than a few have already exercised the option.

I was...not pleased to see this thread. It is contrary to what we said we wanted to do when we started congregating here. I was happy to watch the poll swing the way it did, because honestly, as annoying as Aestu may be when he goes on one of his insufferable snits, it reaffirms what I thought was our purpose here. The poll was probably a step too far, and having people make their votes public, which would have been a step farther, would have produced only hate and discontent, and not the entertaining type I normally enjoy.

Bans/suspensions need to be confined to actual violations of the (very) few rules we have here. I don't think we need another poll of this nature again. Ever. The Paddywack situation resolved itself without resorting to anything of this nature. Speaking of which...threatening people with bans for anything other than a breach of said rules gives the impression that modding here is capricious and subjective. It not only detracts from the stature of the individual engaging in this behavior but also has given the impression to at least one person I've talked to off the board (Burnsey) that he shouldn't bother even applying for board privileges. I didn't think that was something we wanted, and that we were interested in anyone from the Bleeding Hollow community coming here and participating.

As much as I have come to appreciate Joklem, and am glad we have had some old-school BH-ers come play in the sandbox, I was very disappointed by this thread.

I'm in agreement with Jubber. One issue I'd like to explain since I was the one that raised it.



I don't want to see these threads. However, since one was already going on, I wanted some responsibility in the way the vote went. I don't like the idea of just anonymously kicking someone off the forum. I understand that people might not want to get involved or be outspoken, and they may fear the repercussions, but that should be the weight of voting to exile someone.
