I dunno man. That thread didn't violate any rules that I know of... and if it was deemed 'shitfest' worthy then it should've been moved to the shitfest. We all know that there is some conflict between Mayo and Aestu... so was this Aestu pushing Mayo's buttons and was this Mayo unfairly locking a thread that should've been moved? If we say Aestu was pushing Mayo's buttons (which isn't against the rules nor do we know that to be the case when Aestu has posted plenty of stupid shit before) then where is the line drawn?

If a moderator can't moderate without letting his/her personal feelings rule his decisions then I don't think they should moderate.

We'll make sure to use Diebold voting machines in the elections to facilitate the results.

I motion for putting a stop to locking threads and instead just shitfesting them. Except in extreme cases (racism, lolcyberbullying).

A thread being stupid is not grounds for locking it. Just shitfest it and call it a day. I firmly believe the only reason we don't do that now is "someone(s)" are afraid shitfest will become the more frequented of the sub sections and/or that people might actually have some fun.

Locking a thread should require at least 3 mods agreeing that it needs to be locked.

If there were someway that it took 3 seperare mods tp click lock before it was locked that would be best. Or even require 7-10 votes/clicks of a lock/report button by any of the fubu members and restricting mods to the abiltiy to lock threads in an emergancy with 2-3 in agreement. That would give some control of what (our rather small community) wants to and has to see here.


Also, the fact that, with the exception of mayo, all the mods could be voted out of that position if they're being bad/over zealous mods is kinda bs.

Not saying mayo is doing a terrible job just that he seems to lock a lot of theeads for his own reasons.

A lot of locks that I've done have been reversed and I've never argued with other mods about them.

I haven't seen anyone lift a finger for this thread that was (important) engineered for me to lock it.

EDIT: Besides the same 5 or so people that throw the same hissyfit whenever I lock anything, of course (and I stopped paying attention to those people months ago).

Just saying I prefer and think it would be better to move them to the shitfest. I don't think that's much to ask or that it would hurt anyone to do so.

I'm tired of having to defuse everything. In the future, if I get to it first, it will be moved to the shitfest. If Mayo gets to it first and it's obvious bait, don't be surprised when he snaps and locks it. I've said this before on the BH forums: no one has perfect composure, even over the internet. Stop screaming like spanked children when someone does something rash, especially when you were fucking asking for it.
