Make the deadline in 15 minutes. The result of the polls is not going to change. Take the moderator title down or changing it to something else, will change nothing and hurt no one. Leaving it up offends people and will result in lost patronage.

For everyone talking about people who won't come to the site because of the institutionalized "faggot", so what? People with paper skin ruined the BH boards. Why the christ would I want them on the board? Not to mention that if people are so offended at one word, they'll either suck it up (Muerte) or be turned off by our discussions anyways. If you haven't noticed, lots of our discussions are pretty offensive. I mean, look at the Kagan thread. I didn't hear anything about that thread when to other groups of people it could be very offensive.

The same goes for the site where lesbians look like Bieber. One word (over the internet, no less) could be equally as offensive as many of the conversations on here to one group or another. What's so different about comparing pictures of someone who is "supposedly" straight to fat men and the use of an "offensive" word nonchalantly?

Like USD said, there's a difference between "Sup, faggot?" and "You're not going to get this job because you're a faggot".

Its everything or nothing.

You are advocating creating a community on the boards...in order to do that you need people of all different perspectives and opinions. Thus what would make our threads and discussions the most varied. Bringing in different views, opinions, experiences, are all good things in a forum/community like this.

How many god damn times do I have to say this is not about censoring the body of posts? I am not PRO censoring. I am against having the word "faggot" thrown in my face every single time the moderators make a post. I am against seeing it when I first log into the forums. It is alienating and serves NO purpose but to be confrontational.

I think censoring any word is futile. As rikki stated...you can still undersatnd what someone means to type even if you filter it...so the filtering does absolutely nothing. If you type dumbass racist/homophobic crap, then everyone is going to read it as such whether you filter or not.

This is about forcing everyone on the forums (and in some cases like muertes, people who happen to be near your computer) to have to read that nonsense even when they are first logging in.

"People with paper skin" didn't ruin the boards. The Moderators ruined the boards.
