For the record, if a mod expressly talks to me about not wanting to be called a "faggot", I'll change their title just like I did Henq's when he had the same issue.

My title is changing to...if I understand this correctly...
"Mayor of the gays"
Henq's objection, if I understand it correctly, was that he didn't see the need to do something he found objectionable and/or offensive such as referring to the mods as homosexuals. I don't think it was just the word "faggot" that was his only point of contention, but the idea that referring to the mods as homosexuals as a joke insult in any way was something that made him uncomfortable.

It isn't really a way of "rubbing it in" but more of having a way for people to easily identify mod posts.
I agree, I didn't see it as you rubbing it in. It was a joke. Most of us had a good laugh at/with it. I agree that we need a way to identify mods, and that was a pretty easy way to do it. I don't want to put any extra stress on you, because you've given up at least a little bit of your own personal time to get this set up for everyone else, and I don't want to be the asshole who does the whole, "well, you put five minutes into it, why don't you put another ten into it, you've got nothing better to do/owe it to us/or whatever." However, despite what I just said, I will suggest that if it's possible and doesn't put you out, maybe you could look at changing the color of the text for the mods name...even with keeping the "faggot" in the title of those past/present/future mods who don't mind it.

Also, I suppose I could've worded things more specifically, but if we have 10 different options and everyone picks a different one, nothing will get done or we'll get 2 votes on one issue, making a larger amount of people unhappy because the board was so spread out it only took one extra vote to get a very niche view of the stance made official.
Hey, I get that, and I'm sure everyone else does, too. The thing is, though, when I voted to keep the names and not censor slurs and such, I was voting that we do the exact opposite of what had pissed us all of so bad back on the official forums and avoid any kind of censorship at all. I extend that philosophy beyond just simply not removing/changing what a participant posts to not adding anything, either, and that seems to be what Henq left over. You were kind enough to remove the "faggot" because of his objection, but then added "of the gays," which he saw as essentially the same thing. I don't want us to be telling people which words they can't use, but I don't want us being people who tell people what words they must use, either.

PS: I'm not saying that anyone's doing it, but I have a gut feeling that people might start to bring up the original debate again. The issue is done forever. If you wanted to have your two cents, you should've posted in the thread while it was still being discussed.
That's not what I want, either. The matter was put to a vote and decided, and we decided the slurs were OK. I just think that now we need to differentiate between "OK" and "Mandatory."
I want you to know, too, Mayo, and I would hope this goes for everyone else, too, that I really appreciate the time and trouble you've taken to do all this. I just don't want to see us lose the participation of people like Henq over what I see as a misunderstanding over a joke that was taken the wrong way.
