First thread lock:
Some "LOL DATZ FUNNY" video that should go into the sticky. We have a special thread for that and with board traffic as is, the last thing we really need are 2-3 threads with just one youtube.

Second thread lock:
Some 4channer bullshit that I absolutely will not tolerate on this site for any reason whatsoever. That's one of the very few things I won't bend on. If you want 4chan, go to 4chan. Cziiki should've known better considering he knows my attitude on that shit.

Third thread lock:
Some sort of continuation that was meaningless one on one dribble. As per the rules of the site:

Threads that are simply personal discussions (or divulge into them) about stupid stuff will be locked. If you want to make threads babbling between one other person, there's a bunch of places you can do it that aren't the board. Ban votes will be brought up for repeat offenders.


If it was such valuable content, the thread would've been unlocked by a moderator (which has happened frequently: I've locked threads to log back in and find them unlocked).

If they really want to they can repost, there's nothing stopping them.

Also, there isn't an option (to my knowledge) to merge threads. Otherwise, the amount of locked threads would be cut down by at least half (not in this situation though).

EDIT: Not like I've been really strict with the rules lately, considering a good chunk of these threads should be moved to their appropriate boards. However, those boards are rather dead and due to people putting forth valid complaints, I've kept them here.

I would say that a solid 40% of the threads are simply personal banter(note this is not based on numbers). I haven't quite seen a need for moderation really, seems sort of self regulating/people know what they are getting into by visiting the boards

It pretty much is self-regulating. However, not like Euphonic or Cziiki are the brightest bulbs in the box. Personal banter is usually kept open. In fact, the second "I lol'd IRL" thread was the first time I've ever enforced rule #2, mainly because it was entirely dumb and I couldn't see any other coherent conversation besides a shitty one on one coming out of it.

There won't be a repeat of the 100 views/300 posts of FEVYN TROLL HORD (before I made the thread) on this site.
