I will take this opportunity to say that any rule beyond the one that existed when these forums were created (you have to tell us who your main is/was in game, aka no forum alts) is lame.

Rule #2 - This Shit Ain't Facebook
Threads that are simply personal discussions (or divulge into them) about stupid stuff will be locked. If you want to make threads babbling between one other person, there's a bunch of places you can do it that aren't the board (try our lovely message system, for example). Read-Only bans may be given for repeat offenders.

The Clutter Clause
There are many multiple-page threads that have been specified for specific types of content (ex. personal pictures, gamertags, funny youtubes, etc). They're there for a reason. Please take full advantage of them, as threads that are simply "Hey here's a youtube that I liked" with no real discussion will probably be locked with instructions to repost in one of the specified threads.

Okay, I think I can explain why those threads haven't been locked. Mayo, feel free to jump in and tell me i'm dead wrong. The rule is that it clutters up the forum if we have threads which are just conversations between two people...something that could be done in messaging. IE: @Zaryi "Hey Zaryi, how is your day going" "Hey Azelma, my day is good, I'm just sitting in Dalaran" "Herrr durrr random picture lol" "LOLOL THATS SO FUNNY AZELMA" You can see how this type of thread would get old fast. Although it is clearly the start of a conversation with Zaryi, they are discussing a game which other people might play. I think there will always be a subjective gray area with this rule...but I understand why it exists and support it. I think it just needs to be enforced sensibly.
