Moving it would have been the right thing, specially since you know there are all these babies who just love starting new threads to complain...which get locked...so they start another thread to complain.

Maybe you should open a forum for people to talk to the mods about mod-stuff.

You're talking as if there was a problem that needed to be solved one way or another. There wasn't. A loser just wanted to annoy people. Personally I cared little. Losers will be losers. They assert themselves in the incredibly small and petty theaters that are all they have. That is why they are losers.

We should elect a new triumvirate of moderators next week to replace Mayo. He's just being a nuisance.

So, since people shouldn't be pushed into the forum mod position if they don't want to be then, as USD alluded to, a member should be able to announce their candidacy. Of course, there needs to be some limitation (like Sec 1, Article 2 of the Constitution), so there should be a minimum post requirement for eligibility... something that proves the candidate has been an active member of the community.

After a period of seven days, there can be a 'debate', where we collect questions from the community members and let candidates announce their opinion on said questions... like, if you were mod, how would you have handled Aestu's thread? Some people would probably prefer it be locked, moved, or left to fade into black... so this would be a good chance to find out which potential faggots would moderate best for your preference. After the questions have been answered and submitted there needs to be a primary.

Since we don't have a 'two party system' here, each member should suggest three candidates (which can include write-ins) to go onto the general election. After some period, the top five members with the most votes advance to the general election while the rest of the faggot-wannabes collect their campaign signs.

In the general election, the top five names would be made into a poll. The first couple posts would be their responses to whatever questions. Each members get's to cast a single vote. The top three win.

All candidates put their name on a list. Everyone gets three votes. Three candidates with most votes share responsibilities of modding; each can veto any action of the other two.

Candidates and voters must have at least 25 posts.

If this were commenced, a thread would be started, after a week of announcing candidacies the voting would begin. Clean and simple.

If Mayo was voted out then he could either step down peaceably or lose his mandate and the community would simply migrate to a new site.
