I really can't believe how sensitive that group is. I mean I see people shit talking christianity(sometimes deservedly so, catholic priest/choir boys) all the time, and we don't set fire to buildings over it.

We used to. Christianity finally stopped officially murdering people about 1600 years after it was founded. If we're going to be fair, Islam deserves another 200ish years of childishness.

In christianities defense, everyone was just as brutal with or without religion during most of that time, and then it was the catholic church which was more about power than about religion.

and we all know the evils people will go to so they can preserve their power.

a TRUE follower of Christ(you know, the peaceful guy who went around healing people and teaching people ways to be better to your neighbor and family etc etc) are generally non violent and peaceful. A TRUE Christian is supposed to follow meekly in Christ's footsteps by example, not brutally force others to walk the same road.

I'm going to disagree with this considering the vast majority of horrible events in the middle ages (the crusades, the inquisition, the wars and massacres created by the reformation, and the systematic obliteration of Jews in western europe) were entirely caused by religion.

You're going to get some sort of serious injury bending over backwards and stretching as hard as you can to make apologies for groups you agree with.

If Christ did A and "christians" do B, I don't count them as actual followers of christ. which would count most of the worlds "christians" as not followers of christ.

in which case, i neither agree with nor defend them.

Does Bush's awkward stare into the camera when he found out about 9/11 count as a speech?

This could create a lot of complications, but I couldn't agree with you more <3

edit: I have to admit, if it were me finding him, the first 3 seconds of having him in sight would be very difficult to not pull the trigger.

Are you glad that they had orders to kill him no matter what, found him unarmed, and shot him?

I'm not.

I can't confirm nor deny what orders they had, considering how secret the entire thing was. As much bullshit is flying around in the news right now, I'm not grabbing out for any "facts." The story'll likely change again by tomorrow.

Still, fuck that guy either way.

I know your super-covert operations (carried out with poor Intel since you're against force and interrogation) in Afghanistan and Pakistan would've led to the capture (not death) of bin Laden... and when President (dear god no) Mns were to capture him alive, then what? In your estimation, what would've happened and how would it have been any better/different?

Just curious USD, but what wold a "true" Muslim do?

This isn't a religious debate because I know all of you have gone to elementary school, so you all know that OBL is about as far away from Islam as one can get. But since you are the expert on true followers of a religion, I thought I'd ask.

I'm honestly not mad that we didn't get the chance to put on a mockery of a trial that everyone knew would find him guilty. What would have been the point? What would we have gained?

I'm not an expert on that religion, or any others, but if i had to guess, a true muslim would follow muhammed's teachings first and foremost. being the founder should give you paramount status in my world view. my point about christianity is that if you dont follow christ, youre not a christian. and so very many "christians" are most certainly NOT followers of christ.

want me to take a stab at what zeus would do? let me find my wwzd bracelet.

Several people said to be close to the president and his chief of staff, Esfandiar Rahim Mashaei, have been arrested in recent days and charged with being "magicians" and invoking djinns (spirits).

Ayandeh, an Iranian news website, described one of the arrested men, Abbas Ghaffari, as "a man with special skills in metaphysics and connections with the unknown worlds".

On Sunday, Ahmadinejad returned to his office after an 11-day walkout in an apparent protest over Khamenei's reinstatement of the intelligence minister, who the president had initiallyasked to resign.

a prince married, a pope sainted, and "the" bad guy killed.

and many were suckered into celebrating with candle vigils for all three.
