There is a vocal minority here that likes to complain about the topics here on FUBU. I would like to point out some things:

-No one says you have to read or post in every topic you see
-There are topics that don't interest me, I don't go into them, you should follow this practice

Instead of criticizing topics that are boring or too political, or overly verbose ramblings of nerds....why not make new topics that are of interest to you?

Ironically, many of these people who like to complain don't make very many original threads, or vary rarely contribute to any discussion in a useful way.

Don't like politics? Fine, make a thread about something else...video games or other dickshit. I thought Disishowiwin's thread was hilarious...because yes many many of our topics often degenerate into a political shitstorm. It is what it is, and we can try to veer things back on course, but we should all accept that anytime someone brings up

1. A major public event
2. The Economy
3. War
4. Religion (kinda)
5. France

it could very easily become a back and forth between Mayo and Usdk or whatever. We can work on trying to keep things constructive and on topic, sure. But with so many differing viewpoints, political ideology will often rear its ugly head and someone will end up on the receiving end of an Aestu rant. Sorry, accept it or don't post imo.

I also don't get this FUBU is a day old reddit stuff. Are you guys joking or seriously complaining about it? I consider it to be so jokingly because, we DO get a lot of our topics from reddit, and from many other parts of the web's anal crevasses. Is this a bad thing, though?

Yes, these images/topics have already been posted and discussed on reddit.....but I know I bring stuff here because I actually like discussing issues with you guys and reading what others have to say on the topic.

I just don't see the point in complaining about this forum because the forum is what YOU make it. If you don't want to discuss certain things, don't post in the thread or read it. If you want to discuss something new, make a thread about it.

If you want FUBU to be different, you can start by looking in the mirror. If you just want to complain for the sake of complaining, kindly shut the fuck up.

The only bitching I've really heard has been about Mayo and that hasn't been brought up in a while. Yes, I feel these boards have just become a political shitfest but if that's what people want then that's what they'll get. I'll countine avoiding political threads unless I'm pointed to them in interesting ways.



If you don't want to deal with politics, then go to the shitfest. There are actually a few random threads that are pretty decent. Shitfest for FUBU 2.0!

I thought about this a while ago. Given how many threads derail/are about politics, I think it's a good idea.

Almost want to say you should just make the main board the argument station and merge everything else into the shitfest but I'm sure there are some non political threads that are better than the shitfest.

Basically, I agree with bringing back the argument station either way.

The whole point of shitfest is for stupid reddit/4chan/whatever things. Its not supposed to be a good board.

Its either the boards go to shit or I take a direct investment in the boards again. People have to realize they can't have it both ways.

I agree with Azelma. If you don't like a thread, don't read it. If you don't like seeing Jubber and Aestu go back and forth then just add them to your Foe List. If you read something and you're like, "Oh man, I totally just wasted one minute and thirteen seconds reading something I wish I didn't read" or, "I feel like this thread has been derailed" then hurhur stop fucking reading.

It's not hard at all guys.

I know that. What I was saying is if you take away all the political threads, you're left with nothing really but a diluted version of the shitfest. It's like how the WoW forums were at one point 99% guild recruitment threads and the rest were circlejerks. That being said, I'm sure there are some good threads in the main board that aren't political debates, hence why I didn't push for a merge with shitfest.

All I agreed with is bringing back the argument station. The rest was fluff.




We've been through this before. People don't have the capacity to do that. Some are OCD about it and have to read all of them. Literally, this same statement about not reading threads you don't like we've had at least four times now.

PS. I don't read 4chan or reddit either so when people link stuff from there it's kinda nice. Especially since normally it's what they consider to be the cream of the crop and I didn't have to sludge through shit to find it.

If i wanted to put in the effort, I'd screen shot the forums and then put a big red circle around the "mark forums read" button.

Yeah, well I'd say that almost every thread in FUBU is becoming an argument. I'll talk to the mods about bringing back argument station, but expect a zero tolerance for people who throw temper tantrums and post argument threads in FUBU anyways.
