The only proc I had to worry about was Nature's Grace as Moonkin. Then came Eclipse which ruined more than it helped, woohoo!

Eclipse really put me off even speccing into Moonkin. I just... i didn't like what i read. I agree with Aestu. Make the bosses hard moreso than the classes. I should be watching the battle, not icons and other crap. On that note i always hated it when i felt like i needed to use a scrolling combat text or buff alert mod. Too much information.

Eclipse works when you are standing still doing nothing but spamming keys. And it requires a certain level of haste to keep alternating cycles before your dots tick to zero. But then you start overlapping your dots and are forced into it to get the +haste bonus again. Plus you have to alternate which dot you apply first since the first one you cast doesn't get the benefit of the +haste (GREAT LOGIC THERE). And Sunfire = Moonfire so you can't have two up at once.

But that killed it entirely in any sense of pvp. Let me charge up my Starfire here, oh wait.

Moonkins are fun in BGs and even arenas some times. Mostly it's just throw your dots and spam insta starsurges. I agree that eclipse sucks donkey balls for the most part though.

Do you think it would be more enjoyable if the Arcane Eclipse reduce the cast of Starfire by a percentage?

What about if they were two seperate deals. You could Wrath spam to charge up your Nature Eclipse and Starfire to charge your Arcane Eclipse (and once charged they stayed charged) and say basicaly either one worked out to be the same damage. Starfire was just a slightly longer cast and added duration to your moonfire and the other. In the case I'm talking about Wrath getting damage buff slowly as you fill it up and Starfire slowly getting a faster cast time as you filled it up. Damage for Starfire could work too because then instead of having fast casts you're nuking hard if people let you cast.

What about just a toggle with perhaps some sort of CD? You can flip back and fourth between the two as you choose. Maybe being in one reduced the damage you do from the other school at the exchange of the one you choose doing more damage. Maybe you can only cast Arcane spells in one and only nature in another and perhaps maybe a Balanced middleground where you could cast like you do now. Something like stances for warriors I guess.

or does all of that just sound really gay?

Fuck moonkin form. If they make it look like anything else I might actually start to think of druid as a playable class.

TBC style where you just hit Starfire and Moonfire. Ok that isn't fun for big numbers, but even reducing the cast time during Eclipse doesn't solve the issue when you reach 0 on the meter and have no damage bonus working for you at all.

What about the parts where I suggest no meter at all? Just a toggle. Or ones where you fill the meter once and it stays filled.
