I get bored sometimes, especially waiting for summer to come, so im looking for book suggestions to read, if you want to know some more, I loved The Great Gatsby. Thanks ahead of time.

Last thing I read recently was the Orcs series by Stan Nicholls. I'd recommend it if you're into fantasy.

What's so horrible about The Great Gatsby, Aestu? I'm genuinely interested to learn what your beef is with it.



Oh and yes to Ender's Game.


I also recommend I Am Legend. It's quite different than the shit movie - I liked it a lot.

thanks for the suggestion guys, also @Aestu I cant say I enjoy Gatsby for the story. I believe I enjoy it more for the time period, i wish i had lived in 1910-1960 era,(including sticking through the depression) but who doesnt?

Great Gatsby is an uninteresting book that bonks the reader over the head with totally unsubtle metaphors and foreshadowing, which is why educators like it. It's basically a soap opera kitbashed with a crude lesson in elements of creative writing, making for something that doesn't even qualify as literature.
