Ah the actual reviewing >.>

Gameplay is fun hack and slash woo, nightmare is a good step up difficulty wise(seemed easier with 3 ppl then with 4). Poison / fire on the ground sucks balls as a melee. The monk charge is kinda wonky, every other time I use it I end up bouncing around and not being able to move or getting stuck inside a bunch of mobs / behind them on a wall which makes "fire" suck as it usually spawns on the feet of mobs.

Item Stats. Anyone else finding yourself looking at 2 pieces of gear and saying to yourself how am I suposed to figure out what is better ? Atm I am doing a magic find build but I have been told that they scale the whole party's MF and median it out so me having 80% MF and then having 3 party members with practically none seems to make it wasted stats. I did normal mode with just one other guy and we got an ass ton of rares(2 per rare/boss) but doing nightmare with a full group we have got way less. Could just be you need much higher %'s in higher difficultys though. WTB dmg meter so I can figure out if weapon dmg > Dex or lifesteal > health on hit / health on kill or if sprt regen is OP or not worth getting. I HATE having to just feel for it via a thousand numbers poping up at the same time on my screen.

Professions, I have max'd both BS ing and JC ing as high as possible w/o tombs. It's expensive as hell and right now you can buy a "rare" item with decent stats on the AH for way less then it will end up costing you in BS ing costs, I have spent 150k on leveling BS ing and another 30k on JC ing and you can buy ok rares on the AH for under 10k ea(vs paying 2-5k gold + mats to make a random item).

BAG space, due to the fact you can only have 10 items on the AH at a time and there isn't any mail system Mules are pretty much needed unless you want to shard rares, and bag space is kinda expensive. I have spent 160k on bank space / tabs and I can't wait to get another 200k into it(its 10k per row in your bank and 100k to open a new tab with only one row > <)

The AH... Is pretty shitty can't really put my finger on it but its tough finding things, there are like drop down selectors to refine searches but it seems to take for ever to get enough info on the page. I am getting used to it but it wasn't very intuitive : [

This sounds exactly like Star Trek Online. Overly complicated stats, impossible to tell how much damage you're actually doing, terribly small inventory, 40 item AH cap, and the devs didn't put in categories or nested menus on the STO AH because "we can't figure out how".

I elect to get while the getting is good.

I will take your levelling shit for a generous amount of WoW gold. I am currently not playing D3 but who knows? I sent you my RealID if you want to work something out.

Same for anyone else, I'm willing to trade WoW gold for D3 crafted shit.

I'm leveling a barbarian. Dual wielding, talented for Frenzy (stackable attack speed increase every time I hit, up to 5 times) and my strategy is just stack haste and lifesteal and go all human lawn mower mode. I have Rend as well, which means all nearby enemies have a bleed applied when I use it.

It's dependent on Potions (usually immediately after my 4 second stun) but I generally don't need them unless for Elites. I've been doing pretty well with this.

There is an option in one of the menus to turn on detailed item stats. I tried it last night. On all weapon and armor you find it'll give you a little summary of how it'll impact you using green and red lettering, showing your increases and decreases to various stats.

Another way you can see how things will impact you is to open your inventory window and click the 'details' button, which is tucked off to the left in a really hard-to-see spot. That opens up a super detailed window so you can see how things, even like dodge, are impacted by weapon and armor swaps.

In the same menu there is a way to turn on health bars for players and enemies, as well as numbers which show damage and healing. That's a pretty easy way to gauge damage, no?

Edit: I'm playing a Wizard... but I'm only level 12 or something like that. Blowing shit up, made easy.

I play my monk as a tank.

Right now I'm level 39 and I've got about 8.5k health. My character screen DPS shows up as ~400. Damage reduction from armor is ~40% and an additional 20% from physical resistance. Elemental resistances are all about 10% or so.

Primary: Crippling Wave with Concussion (lowers enemy damage by 20%)
Secondary: The kick with the rune that has a 50% chance to stun versus knockback.
Defensive: Bubble with health restoration.
Offensive/Active/whatever the 3rd ability is: Flying Kick with the rune that reduces movement speed by 60% for all enemies near the path of my kick.
Last ability, I forget what it's called: Cyclone Strike with the rune that reduces Spirit cost.
Mantra: Healing + extra healing.

Passive skills: The one that reduces enemy damage by 25%, the one that increases Mantra duration to 10 minutes and 2 spirit per second, and finally the one that restores health per point of spirit spent.

---

Then I just run around charging into things and cycloning all of them to me and cleaving the everloving fuck out of them until they die. If I need a quick boost I renew my mantra, because it heals me for like 2k. If they start to run I cyclone them back in, and if I have spirit to burn I'll use my stun kick. It's not super fast but when there are a lot of mobs, it sure as hell is effective.

I don't take damage, like ever. I did come across an Arcane/Fire Chain pack of elites which pretty much ripped me apart but most of the time I can outlast whatever I'm fighting.

The items are weird. I had an a witch doctor offhamd (mojos i think they're called) with int on it, and another with vitality on it. No damage related stats were listed anywhere that i could see but the vitality one was a significant dps increase over the int one. I didn't look into it further but it was fairly confusing.

I think all weapon slot items have a DPS value. I could be wrong, so if you can list the stats I'll attempt to figure it out. I don't know off the top of my head.

Intellect increases damage done (for wiz + wd), but vitality only increases health. I don't see how you go more damage from vitality lol.
Look for a high dps one hand (ceremonial dagger), you can use whatever off hand you'd like. I like the shield because which doctors are kinda squishy.

P.S. - The gargantuan pet is the perfect voidwalker. Plus it cleaves. That makes 5 pets I can have out at once. The spider queen, the gargantuan, and the 3 zom dogs. It's pretty sick. I don't use the spider queen right now though.

Also pet mechanics are great. They're aggressive but revert to follow if you leave an area.

Yeah that's why i was confused. My assumption is that even offhands add to DPS just by being a higher level. IIRC when i replaced the int one with the vit one, my dps on the thing went up from 140 to 150.

I <3 the pets. Although the Dogs are very weak and the 1 min cooldown feels oppressive. Gargantuan is pretty great and i've yet to see him die. You're right about the AI it's really nice, you just leave and he stops derping. I'm not sold on the massive spider... it removes my ability to use that spell as a nuke which to me is key for the left click. Or maybe it doesn't, and i'm just getting annoyed by the repeated respawning of the spider where it is actually doing its job effectively. I really wish they'd rework that spell to not have it continually respawn upon every cast. I just don't like it so i'm using the fire bombs. I do like the darts with the slow rune though. Not a fan of the toads. I hate stuff which i can't aim effectively.

Fun class though. Monk is fun too, enjoying that. Wizard isn't floating my boat. Haven't tried the other two yet.

Yea, the fuck is up with the toads. Could've been a cool mechanic, but the toads are blind.
