Eturnal's application to TE. Classic.

Quote:
Did you play PlanetSide 1 or another game with us?
I didn't play any games with 'The Enclave', however I played Battlefield 3 and World of Warcraft with USD. He and I are homies and he's been asking that I app with you guys.

What sort of role do you plan to play in PlanetSide 2?
I don't know much about PlanetSide but I hear there are plenty of opportunities to piss opposing players off... and I enjoy pissing people off.

What other games do you play regularly?
I used to be into console gaming but I've decided to jump over to PC gaming because all I ever hear from people is, "PC GAMING MASTER RACE." Considering I'm a white guy, it was only fitting. Now I'm building a collection of Steam games that I hope to play more in the future, in addition to playing Diablo 3, Borderlands, Skyrim, Portal 2 and my new Battlefield 3 account on the PC. I intend on getting PS2 and GW2 in the future. I also play 'Transformice' while I'm bored in the office... it's some Flash game that let's me piss people off. Since it's an international game people hate it when I chant "USA USA USA" (Thanks USD) after winning, because they're all asshurt that they're not Americans. I make it a point to remind them of that fact. I also enjoy working my way into other 'tribes', (which are the guilds/clans of Transformice), specifically for the purpose of liquidating the tribe roster. Just a way to enjoy my day at the expense of others when streaming videos is slow at work.

What will your in-game name be?
'Eturnal' or 'Chickenooble'... probably 'Chickenooble' because it's probably the best alias on the internet. Yea, you're jealous.

Where did you hear about us?
My first knowledge of TheEnclave was from a carpet bombing video where you guys decimated an in-game funeral. Then, USD would waggle his chubby for this group sometimes.

What outfits were you apart of?
No thanks.

What caused you to leave your old outfit?
I probably gained weight and it didn't fit anylonger. I normally donate old outfits to the Purple Heart.

What made you decide to apply to The Enclave?
Well, I plan on getting PS2 so since USD rolls with you guys, I figured I'd try to do the same.

What do you expect from The Enclave?
USD told me to expect late night slumber parties where we can have pillow fights in our underwear and snuggle in bed watching Twilight movies. Personally, I'd like the opportunity to just irritate the hell out of people by... well, whatever the equivalent to 'ganking' is in PS2. Lastly, I think it's important to note that I have a job, wife and kid... so my availability isn't going to be as flexible as a college student or some photo-allergenic basement dweller.

Come sail with me, oh chums and chaps. Set aflame your fears of an uncertain world where the rich get richer and the poor get children, for we are all about to drip slick and wet with an unrivaled anticipation. Some of you are feeling it now, others are dry as a bone; well prepare to be hydrated by the anal glands of my pet cat because there won't be enough tortillas for this conversation.

I, Bleeding Hollow's most unremarkable and inexcusable Calx persona, wish henceforth, hitherto, to apply for an ever most concrete and legitimate raider status for my darling god-daughter Beel. Long ago there was a cereal called Sprinkle Spangles which tasted very weird but I kind of miss it.

I will now adhere to your country's customs in an uncreative manner, as per my desire to apply for the aforementioned position:

---Under the evermost Required category, you do so ask of my age. All Calx are over the age of eighteen. I am 21, I am qualified to purchase alcohol, pornography, tobacco, and indulge within said activities within a voting booth, whether or not I indulge in such pedestrian affairs is a whole different flavor of sparklefashion altogether. Voting is so canadian.

Further interrogation wishes to garner from me information as to whether Ventrilo is installed, working in concert with a functional microphone so that my ever so velvet tongue can wordsmith the most luscious sentences for all your aural pleasures, to this I say yes... and no. Yes, Ventrilo is installed, and yes I have a working headset, however

http://www.imagedump.com/index.cgi?pick=get&tp=533508

with ear #2 severed, it will sit awkwardly and smellilly on my head. Don't count such sacrifice beyond my abilities, however, as the article still functions. To a degree.

---As it would seem, we have come to the Basics category. Paltry information; ever so paltry. I am best known as Calx, however it is Beel that is the object of affection this time around. Beel, as you well know, is our realm's paramount horde ret and silver-medal second of the top two (uh, only two) horde raiding retributions on our smashing old realm! With an embarrassing 80 or so days played at 70 (contested only by my warlock's total days /played) it would be within the bounds of fairness to proclaim myself capable of not standing in fire.

You ask of my maturity. To date I've not yet received a suspension of any duration for calling another player a 'faggot.' Charming. Though maturity aside, I must confess: though I don't know any Bucket chaps in person, I do see the gentle eyes of Srmoocow in every mall santa, the gentle kindness of Crebain in the pucker of every prostitute's lips, the soft touch of NK in the handshake of every war veteran, the scathing glare of Mayo in the eyes of every ruler-wielding nun, and the loving, friendly smile of Tira in the decaying remains of recent roadkill.

Please sit and be fascinated with my evermost wonderful spec: the finely tuned I-know-what-I'm-doing raiding retribution spec. At the time of typing this, I am abortion arena spec (20/41), but I shall respec and logoff, toot-sweet for your sniffing pleasure. Should this fail, indulge in http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/info/cla ... 3125331051

Things to note in this spec, as it may vary from other raiding rets, and I've the right to defend my opinions:

2/5 Ben Addiction, besides not liking Ben too terribly much, the talent has some negative synergy with sanctified judgment, and cannot be maxed without detracting talents

1/2 Improved Judgment, going 2/2 creates a cooldown cycling conflict in which crusader strike and judgment arrive at the same time, forcing you to decide on one of the two to cast or risking a melee swing without having a seal charged. Dropping one point solves the conflict.

1/3 Vindication, though nearly all bosses (except Void Reaver for a hilarious previous patch) are immune to it, a lesser known fact of it is one point in it will proc judgment of wisdom on the mob, yielding more mana returned for a talent spec that cannot manage mana worth the love of a dying mime's bowel release.

The remaining talent selections should be self-admonishing.

Apart from general hitcap, statistics of note are nearly +15% haste in full haste gigs, unbuffed attack power nearing 1950 without BT gems, crit rating hovering between 22% in haste gigs (sadly, normal), and 27% in Shut Up and Jam apparel. Quite an excellent start in fielding a guild ret mascot when the more entry level chaps are troubled by 1600 AP, no haste, modest crit, and a S1 weapon. It does so break my heart to see them as such, but a large amount of personal work went into the crafting of Beel's state of affairs. The net result was well worth the effort, culminating in an all-time high of 1587 sustained dps in a high threat ceiling environment, fully buffed and supported by brave bucket companions and having tremendous fun staring at Recount while playing an abortion of a defensive hybrid class.

But yes. Previous guild experience consisted mostly of SG's glory days (oh yes, once a tyrannical empire that was a blast to be a part of). Learned just how painful raiding was when I farmed my own nature resist gear to be a huhu soak, and we never got her down and were cockblocked out of AQ40. The coolest place ever, second to naxx. When SG pooped itself and it's members diffused every which way, most found their way to Tempest, and I fell into Bucket. I believe I can help fill a niche roll to assist in catching Bucket back up to Tempest, after a few player breaks and a bit of raid disillusionment gave Tempest a bit of a PVE lead. If I'm wrong or incorrect in my assumptions, please feel free to give me a proper spanking.

As for name, work, and where I live and all that, the only other place I've seen my name was in FF12 where it's actually a very obscure and rarely mentioned country, but I've always just gone by my shortened middle name. My partner in crime who I used to pingpong our WoW account with back and forth in pre-BC is still around, and I doubt revealing her name without a fight would be very cricket either. Sorry dorry. Currently living in Arizona, raising money to move and situate myself in Washington. The only negative bit that I foresee is I am always out to snag another job, and I don't know how that would affect raid schedules, but between working part time, doing online classes and kissing sailors, I do guarantee Beel will be all up in your grill for as many raids as possible, if not all (hopefully).

I do totally hope this is enough information in regards to bringing Beel out of freelance. If there is anything I failed to cover, you most assuredly know where to find me, and how best to interrogate me. For now I ask unto you to look back upon that which I have written, and say to yourself "I actually read all that."

Verily, I have often laughed at weaklings who thought themselves proud because they had no claws.

What times do you play the most or are most active in the game?
Raid days: generally on by 5PM and stay an hour or two after raid. Non-raid days--if I'm not working I'm on around 12PM, if I am, probably not until I get off work whenever that is

What do you enjoy doing the most
Cyberz

Have you ever been a raid leader, class leader, officer, or website administrator with another guild?
Highest rank held: Core raider. I have patiently led PuGs many many MANY times

Do you have Vent and mic?
Yes

Q/A Time !
1. Paste a link to your current armory. Be PvE geared and spec'd.

(Yes I know I'm over hit cap...assembling Greatness deck at the moment)

3. Paste a link to a WWS or WMO of a raid you've recently attended.
http://www.wowmeteronline.com/combat/10507281#damageout

4. List your keybinds. What core abilities are not keybound, if any?
Core Rotation: 1-8= Serpent Sting-Black Arrow-Explosive Shot-Steady Shot-Aimed Shot-Kill shot-Rapid Fire-Kill Command
"Oh Shit" buttons: 9=Tranq Shot F=Feign Death = =Wyvern Sting
Misc: T and G swapped out as needed, for example screen shot shows T as concussive shot for the Deathwisper fight in ICC and G is a macro to target Snobolds for ToGC 25 last night. I'll swap in Frost Trap, MD macros, or targeting macros as needed V=Volley always.

5. Do you have someone in Tempest who will sponsor you? Who?
By "sponsor" I am assuming you mean "vouch for" and if this is an incorrect assumption, please let me know lol. Chickenszs/Zack was a former guildie and can vouch for me in a number of things including attendance, performance, and whatever else he remembers. Triplekiss/Leanne is a personal friend, we went to the same middle and high school and lived down the street from each other for a long time. She can vouch for my personality and has seen my performance in some miscellaneous raids.

6. List your previous guilds and why you left them.
Tender Surrender: a guild made by IRL friends, was a member leveling 1-70. Broke up in favor of endgame content
Disciples of Tyr: raided on Pacific time, so nights spent in Karazhan until 5AM were wearing on me
Heresy: Very short membership as the guild broke up (for the most part) a few weeks after I joined and most members broke off to form the next guild I was in....
Usual Suspects: Left because I quit the game for school for a few months
Brood of Reckoning [realm: Cenarion Circle]: server transferred for the summer to play the game with my boyfriend, who had waay too many toons to transfer to BH. One of the highest ranking guilds on the server. Left because of internal strife between the officers (not with me) caused raiding to come to a halt.
Call of Tarakema [Cenarion Circle]: widely casual playing guild with strong RP roots that weirded me out. Raiding was pretty painful. Left because of this and stopped playing for a short time for school
Usual Suspects: (yes, again) Server transferred back to Bleeding Hollow and re-joined U.S. Currently leaving because there are no opportunities to learn from a more experienced hunter, as our class leader quit, making me the most experienced hunter in the guild. I'm in limbo as to improving my DPS and want to learn more along side the best, not just settle with what I have and continue progressing with a guild that has nothing more to offer me.

7. We are wiping repeatedly on a hardmode boss. How do you react?
I observe any reason I may be failing at performing or doing my job, which could result in a failure to accomplish other goals necessary to down the boss, I fix them, and continue patiently banging our heads against the wall until the rest of the raid does the same. I'm not an officer, so I'm concerned only with my own performance and do not comment on others' actions. If I cannot figure out how to fix my own problems, I whisper my class leader specific questions as to how he/she suggests I do something. If I continue to struggle, during a break I will search elitist jerks, tank spot, or the WoW forums to see how others have remedied the situation and try new strategies.

The only time I will suggest anything to another person or to a raid leader/officer is if it is specifically asked or after raid I will provide links to strategies or videos to the officers in the form of whispers or other private means. I'm really not into creating public strife, so I stay out of vent, raid chat, and guild chat during a raid unless I am specifically asked to call something out, roll on an item, or post a recount report. If there is down time at some point during the raid due to a disconnect, an afk, or a scheduled break, I'll keep positive in chat and hope to raise any sinking morales. I think one of the most effective means to downing a progression hardmode boss when we're wiping repeatedly and banging our heads against a wall is a high raid morale. If everyone in the raid is positive and determined and motivated, the boss will be downed, and it'll be fun doing it.

8. Why do you want to join Tempest?
I could give the cookie-cutter reason and say Tempest is the best guild on the server, why wouldn't I want to join it? But my true reasons are because I enjoy raiding with friends, and friendly people. I want to have fun on this game and also succeed above the expectations of the common WoW player. I'm currently in limbo with my skill as a hunter as I'm confident in the skills I learned along the way, but behind what I could be satisfied with and I want to find exceptional hunters to learn from, as well as exceptional raiders to interact with. I've also wanted to be in a guild with Leanne (Triplekiss) and other "irl" friends since she and our friends first forced me to start playing WoW over 3 years ago (4 maybe? jesus). I've heard nonstop raving from her and Zack (Chickenszs) about how FUN raiding is with Tempest is, and that raiding with you all is such a pleasant experience, not one to stress over or be nervous every night, which is unfortunately what I've become accustomed to in Usual Suspects...I'm about getting down to business to do really hard shit, but not get pissed off, nervous, and stressed out every time we step into ToGC 25 or the new ICC instances.

9. How would accepting your application benefit Tempest?
I play survival, which it seems most hunters I've encountered are transitioning to Marksmanship which provides the awesome Trueshot Aura, but no mana regen! So your mana pools will be gloriously full with me. (P.S. I'm completely open to trying MM or BM and experimenting with new stuff to benefit my DPS and the raid) I'm also really fun to bring along into raids because I do my best to stay serious, but still keep spirits up. I'm always prepared and extra prepared, bringing enough flasks and such for myself plus 2 other people just in case. Last night I made several scrolls of Enchant Boots: Tuskarr's Vitality because I KNEW someone wouldn't enchant their freaking boots for the Icehowl fight in ToGC 25...lo and behold all of the scrolls were distributed to unprepared raid members. I'm also really motivated outside of raid, I do chain heroics all day when I've finished my dailies, etc to try and farm those extra badges for those toons who don't get to go to raid every night. I am never satisfied with my DPS, and I'm always looking for more ways to pump out more, even if I'm topping the damage charts, which I've found pushes more people around me to also never be satisfied and push themselves to be better. I get along well with many people, and I hate drama and tend to avoid it at all costs, so you can be assured there will be no black cloud of chick-drama that surrounds me at all times (which I've found very common unfortunately with chick players). I'm pretty much well rounded and an awesome addition to even a guild as developed as Tempest.

10. Tell us about yourself.
I'm 20.833 (aka...I turn 21 in 2 months...and counting god damnit). I am a biochem major at St. Mary's College of Maryland about to enter my second semester as a junior. I work as a pharmacy technician at a local CVS part time and can name the top 200 drugs prescribed, their generic names, and what they do...probably what the pill looks like too. I'm ridiculously laid back since there's enough drama and stress in life to stress you out without causing any yourself. I have a sense of humor comparable to a sailor and can be really vulgar at times (yes, I know when to turn it off *_~). I have incredible patience for boss wiping and raiding but I'll admit I have zero patience for badness and if someone is generally awful or purposely ignorant, I cannot tolerate it. That said, I love sharing the knowledge I've acquired in all aspects of the game, in life, and guild relations. I'll talk your ear off for hours or sit silently and listen intently for as long as you need me. I have an overall positive, lively, and happy attitude and I bring that with me wherever I go. I guarantee you that you'll love me, and if not I have tits to compensate. *_~

Let me start off my saying that this is never funny.

More relevantly, some friends of mine that were in Usual Suspects up until very recently have never said a positive thing about you, and I'm to understand that your first break from Usual Suspects wasn't a conscious decision on your part. If you're not good enough for them, why are you good enough for us?

If one is to make such a long-winded post, it would be nice to make it informative and with intelligible sentence structure. Ironic coming from me, I know.

You talk a lot about performance and motivation. Yet I struggle to understand your gem choices. Why gem your pants that way? Why do you put a binary gem in a belt buckle? Why split the difference - why not go all agility or all crit? Isn't Greatness a BiS or nearly for hunters, better than what you have? Why not invest?

You talk about IRL friends again and again in your app. But this is not a social guild where members are invited on a Facebook basis...this is a high end raiding guild whose members are chosen on merit. If the best foot you can put forward is that you are buddies with so-and-such IRL, how do you think that reflects upon you?

If you want to hang out with your real life friends, why not just make a private chat channel and run instances with them outside raids?

I see. Is this why you close with winky emoticons, constantly remind us you're a chick (like 55%ish of the people on God's green earth), and...you server transferred because of your boyfriend?

First of all, gemming a socket for yellow with 10agi/10crit isn't a bad choice as long as the socket bonus yields a similar or higher result from gemming yellow or prismatic. 6agi/8agi 12AP or higher as long as its not dual yellow or raw blue only as your choices for gem slots. But going with agi/stam is less beneficial than 10 All Stats as your "blue" choice. Second, you should really spec marks because most raids have 2 or more replenishment specs/classes. Also previously said, you are rocked 2 terrible trinkets. You could buy 1 trinket for 3-4k that will last you quite a while, and you could farm the scorpion from H-FoS everyday. Both of which are leagues better than your current setup. You are also almost 100hit over cap, not really sure why? Next, i looked at your dps posting and it seems incredibly low for those boss fights, as im sure its because you are survival, but it just seems low compared to what im used to seeing from our hunters. Lastly, do not name people to vouch for you when the have less than 2% pull in the guild. (no offense to triplekiss or zachhhhh) But i would like to hear more about what Tuhl speaks about U.S. and your departure from them.

At no point since her return has she once complained or questioned our raiding until last night due to her being yelled at upon failing Trample on Northrend Beasts 25H a few times in a row.

All I'm gonna do is quote and reply to her, as I feel what she's saying could easily have been mentioned to any Officer in the guild (myself included) and that it's quite unfair/untrue.

There is plenty to learn about your class no matter how geared you are, I know for a fact I don't play my class to its full potential, and I have no one in the guild to base my DPS on being the only Feral - yet I learn new things every day by browsing, trying new rotations, new gems, etc.

There's no/have never been any "class leaders" - and if you're referring to Shoopdawhoop, he's on hiatus due to financial trouble.

If you felt we had nothing to offer you, the least you could do is discuss it with us instead of go ahead and do this behind our backs.

Again, this is the only time I've ever heard this until last night when you got upset due to dying to the same mechanic. You're assigned very little to do in raid unless it's simple MD'ing or laying down frost traps on Saurfang. I have never recieved a tell from you asking for help on raids, or your assignments.

If you find it difficult to do those things, I'm not sure how you think you'd fit in here at Tempest.

Any time you approached me for help with guild issues you had I *always* helped the best I could, and this is why you aggravated the crap out of me by doing this without saying a word.

Anyway, I'm not asking for a confrontation with anyone here, just letting you know this is a big surprise to me. Considering all that's happened, I know I for one was expecting more than to find this out through someone else.

I appreciate the complete answers to our questions but I do ranged DPS invs and although Dom handles applicants, I can say that one of the best hunters on the server currently rides our bench so we have no room for another. Yes, we've become so deep, we run a 2nd ICC but we generally do not accept applicants for that group alone, although it has happened with applicants that get a lot of support.

I'm in limbo as to improving my DPS and want to learn more along side the best, not just settle with what I have and continue progressing with a guild that has nothing more to offer me.

You are correct in stating that Tempest is the top of the food chain but that means we dont "train" people. People that come to us should know how to maximize their specs, gear, and rotation to get every bit of healing, dps, etc out of their class. People learn these skills in "feeder" guilds and by the time they get to us, they should be at the top of their game and need little training or hand holding.

You have not heard the full story then because I personally will rip male and female guild members alike a new asshole if they do stupid shit that shouldnt be happening. I have and will continue to hurt people's feelings when I think their performance is substandard. Fun for us is killing new bosses and getting server firsts, not wiping or playing like shit. That is what makes us the best - we take raids really fucking serious and people that dont get on board with that philosophy will have short stays.

TLDR: We do not have space for a mediocre hunter that needs advice on how to do better dps and I dont think you would be a good fit in Tempest even if you didnt.

More relevantly, some friends of mine that were in Usual Suspects up until very recently have never said a positive thing about you, and I'm to understand that your first break from Usual Suspects wasn't a conscious decision on your part. If you're not good enough for them, why are you good enough for us?

To answer this, I'm curious as to who told you my first break from Usual Suspects was not a conscious decision as it was, in fact, MY decision. I could get into the nitty-gritty (sp?) but, for the most part, I consciously decided to cease playing the game because it had become unpleasant, stressful, and upsetting to log on every day when I was already stressed and spread thin from working 40 hours a week (which I do not do during the semester anymore) and taking very vigorous courses. I wanted to devote myself to that instead of WoW, which I cannot find anyone who believes that is not a respectable reason to quit temporarily. The actual gquitting occurred because it was, at the time, my opinion that being in the guild was causing the upsetting circumstances.

As was said in a later post, my gem choices on my pants were to obtain the socket bonus of +8 agility. About my belt buckle, I was waiting until I could complete today's JC daily to buy a Dragon's Eye (to cut into pure agility) and I apologize for not mentioning this intended change in my post. For survival hunters, stacking pure agility is indeed the greatest DPS increase and I've spent a lot of gold testing the difference between pure agility and a mixture of armor pen and agility, armor pen and crit, armor pen and attack power, as well as all those combinations with attack power instead of armor pen on boss dummies and in pug raids. I also use spreadsheets regularly to test the theoretical DPS output that these would result in and have determined agility is the way to go.

I had hoped to not make the impression I was simply mentioning so-and-so because we're buddies IRL as the best reflection of my merit. I truly apologize to both Triplekiss and Chickenszs as well because I was honestly unaware of the responsibility placed on anyone who is to "sponsor" me in the guild. I had only expected that sponsorship was to mean "vouch for," as I stated, and not require anyone with any "real pull" in the guild, only someone that could say "this player is or is not Tempest quality." I am truly sorry for not first asking exactly what repercussions would be placed upon my answer to that specific question and recognize (now) that I should have asked one of you (by you I mean anyone who would reply to this post) what you were looking for in the term "sponsor."

I only server transferred because (a) I had an opportunity to raid with one of the top ranked raiding guilds on the server and (b) I had one character to transfer, my boyfriend had 4-5 characters. This game is, in fact, a game and I play primarily to enjoy the aspects of the game I love the most with people I enjoy being around. This means if I had to choose to stay guildless on Bleeding Hollow and twiddle my thumbs (as I'll admit I was not Tempest caliber by any means then) or server transfer with the opportunity to join one of the most accomplished endgame raiding guilds on that server, I would (logically) choose the latter of the options. The aspect I enjoy the most out of this game is hardcore endgame raiding (I apologize for any misinterpretation of my answer to that question). I had spoken with the guild leaders that I would be applying to about my class, my performance, attitude, etc. and they offered an initiate spot in raids. I had done my research on the guild in question (Brood of Reckoning) and they ranked on that server 2nd to one other Horde guild (the 1st Horde guild had actually broken up and, at that time, faction transfers were not available). So to clarify, I did not transfer because of my boyfriend, I transferred primarily for the opportunity to continue with the two aspects of this game that I truly enjoy: Playing with people I respect and enjoy playing with, and clearing challenging endgame content with those people.

Thank you, noted, and I will explore these options.

I have continued to stay survival because of the raid utility that we have needed for the past few weeks while researching a perfect MM spec for me, as well as trying them out in pug raids. My MM dps is much higher, of course, even gemmed and enchanted with pure agility, and requested to be allowed to spec MM during raids unless the mana regen. was a problem, in which I would switch to survival to help with that. I am much more comfortable with the survival spec and have trained and perfected the rotation for many many many hours and raids. However, I am comparably proficient as MM and, if asked/needed, would gladly respec as well as take the same amount of time (or more, if needed) to perfect that rotation as well. In fact, I have already begun this task and should be all set to go soon enough.
I am aware I'm way over hit cap and did mention that I am currently assembling a greatness card. I have attempted running H FoS every day and have been very unlucky, as the trinket dropped when I was tanking on my alt DK, but never on my hunter.

I'm only responding to this to let you know the current situation.

At no point since her return has she once complained or questioned our raiding until last night due to her being yelled at upon failing Trample on Northrend Beasts 25H a few times in a row.

To clarify, no one yelled at me about failing trample any more than I did myself. I failed only twice, not in a row, due to problems that I have already remedied and are no longer problems. I have not had any trouble in the past because of this mechanic and do not foresee any problems in the future. This is a null point that should not have been brought up in the first place.

I do not complain or question raiding in a guild because I have learned that, in an established endgame raiding guild, raids are run a certain way for a reason, and that reason is often because it works for that guild. I do not question officers or raid leaders by any means because it is never my place to do so.

I did not question or complain about the raiding, I made it clear that screaming at each other in vent for completely separate reasons was, for me, counterproductive at successfully concentrating on what was happening. We had a very skeleton raiding group that contained many of our casual players or initiates that were making small mistakes we had already remedied in past progression raid times. That was most likely the major cause of the tense and negative morale, which caused the screaming and yelling. This happened previously on a regular basis when the guild was new and was a contribution to not downing Sarth +3, or other comparable progression content.

I have performed under pressurized situations such as this as if no pressure has been applied. For example, recent progression through ICC25 in which we were consistently wiping on the final boss and I consistently did my job (laying down frost traps, MDing adds to the boomkin, and kiting without getting hit, as well as keeping my very burst-unfriendly DPS up) without complaint or screw-up. I cite only one example because I do not want to bore you with more, but my intention in this citation is to thwart any incorrect first impressions that the example mentioned by Dudefish may have implied. I am disappointed that it was mentioned as it is comparable to, lets say, a statistics problem in which one piece of data in a sample size of 1,000,000 is completely unlike any other piece of data, but still does not throw off the mean/average. I only use the analogy because I cannot think of any other way to put it.

All I'm gonna do is quote and reply to her, as I feel what she's saying could easily have been mentioned to any Officer in the guild (myself included) and that it's quite unfair/untrue.

I want to make it clear that I do take the time every day to inspect myself individually, read posts, learn things on my own and try them in raid. I also want to make it clear that I have, in fact, taken this up on numerous occasions with the officers of Usual Suspects and have received the same reply, that they do not know enough about hunters to really truly help me. So eventually I stopped asking. About Shoopdawhoop, he has taken a hiatus for an unknown time and I cannot count on him being back any time soon, especially not to bounce ideas off about DPS since he's been gone for so long.

I agree dmoney, and apologize for making it seem like I wanted to join Tempest so I could leech off you to be dragged up and be better than I used to be, but still dragged around by the rest of the raid and essentially become detrimental to performance. That was not my intention. I want to come to Tempest to be surrounded by raiders who are just as driven and motivated as I am to better themselves, and are interested only at being the best. Although my current guild has leadership that is this driven, I felt the opportunity to be with a guild that every one of its members work their asses off to find out how to be not just better, but the best, would enable my best performance to arise. I also felt that, although you are already considered the best guild on the server, I could bring a refreshing push towards being even better because of my motivation and existing skill. I completely understand if you feel Tempest has a sufficient amount of this motivation and I will respect that and move on. I believe in my heart that my addition would benefit Tempest in this and, by the looks of these replies, surprise those who currently believe my addition would be a detriment.
