To my knowledge, no. Only 'locked' sets of armor are racially locked.

If you prepurchased, and want to get in immediately, the servers could be going up as much as 3 hours early (00:00 on the 25th EST, 9:00pm on the 24th PST), so if you want to get your name reserved fast, you'll want to block off some time.

ALSO, names are reserved for you 24 hours after you delete a character, so just rush through character creation and get your name, then go ahead and take time to customize them to your hearts content without worrying that you'll lose your name.

I named my Charr Guardian after one of my cats, who was named after the protagonist from Star Ocean 3... Fayt Kittygod. Turns out every single person thought they were being creative when they added, "Kitty", "Cat", "Meow", "Feline" or some other reference to their names. Jokes on us. T_T

My Asura Necromancer I left up to my wife... and after two glasses of wine and two minutes on google, she came up with "Finian Boopa"
