I got power and Comcast back yesterday. Most of my town is still without power.
I've gotten the whole week of school off (Monday-Friday.) My father and brother said they passed my school, and there were power lines, trees, etc. All in the road near it. So, they may think next week may have some days off, too.
My town has a lot of trees in it, and the destruction looks like a war zone.

My backyard has trees that stand around 80 feet tall. My father and I were outside on the deck watching the storm, and a huge gust of wind came and we saw from our yard to our neighbors yard about 8 of these trees bend and just all snap in a line like bowling pins. It was really crazy seeing it, something I'll never forget. The pictures are kinda hard to tell, but it's just showing the size of the trees. It almost cleared out the rest that are standing.
My uncle has a beach house in Long Beach Island that we go to every summer. The house stands on pylons, so the house itself survived. However, apparently the island is in awful condition. Much like most of the Jersey Shore area.
I dread the cleanup that may be required at the end of the week.
