I've always approved of the Seribus I don't understand

I joined Vivain and Trilligy's guild (Altoholic's Anonymous). They're trying to form a 20 man (mythic) for Warlords. I'll be leveling an ele sham to join. I hope to channel the power of Pyleon as I do so.

Thats the build.. any feedback is appreciated. Only want 1 gpu for now, pc used primarily for gaming and possibly streaming. Already have an SSD that I'll have for Windows and Programs, not going to OC for now.

Very similar to what I built in Oct.

I went with G.SKill Trident X ram as it seemed most people liked it more than equivalent Corsair, but ram is generally ram as long as you aren't OC ing.

I got an ASUS Z87-A MoBo. I didn't need the Wifi, don't buy Radeon and didn't need the extra sata. I also saw a bunch of reviews of people overclocking the shit out of 4770ks on it, so for any modest OC ing I might do it will be more than good enough.

I would recommend some kind of "after market" CPU cooler if you aren't swapping one in from your current build. I went with an H100i and it is super quiet.

For a case I ended up going with the Fractal Design Arc Midi R2 I got it on a huge sale for like 60$(but would totally pay the asking price for another the next time I build someone a comp). It has loads of room in it for a ton of different fan setups(I have my radiator on the top), it comes with 3 140mm fans and front, top and bottom dust filters(I'm never buying a case w/o dust filters again, saves so much cleaning/hassle). This setup makes almost no noise(stock settings requires very little cooling) but does sound like a jet engine prior to posting :}

As far as GPU's are concerned... The chances you will ever need the performance boost SLI offers is TINY. I'm still running a GTX 560 Ti and I have yet to not run a game smoothly on max settings. I get over 100FPS in Wow during raids with max everything while streaming 1080p videos/TV on my off monitor(not quite the Epeen number of 240fps I got back in BC with my GTX8800...384bit bus back in 06 >.>). Also, if you aren't planning on setting up SLI within a few months of building your comp you will most likely get more performance out of picking up one newer model down the road. I think the only non crazy reason to go SLI with current resolutions is like... Bit Coin "mining".

The i7 will be 98% wasted money compared to the i5, I can guarantee you that right now. Same thing with 16GB of ram. 8GB is more than sufficient for every day use. With the mobo, just get one with the options you need or want. That one has both Wifi and Bluetooth on board. Do you need one or both? Otherwise you can save ~$40-80 getting one without those options. An 850w PSU is something to use with SLI/Xfire. SeaSonic is a great brand but you could very easily drop that down to a 600 or 650w. If I remember right, my entire system doesn't even pull 500w from the wall and that's with a generation older i5 and 7970 OC'd.

I'd say get one of the new AMD cards but bitcoin miners have pushed up the price so far now it's retarded.

Hyper212+ EVO is a decent cpu cooler that gets recommended a lot. Using the stock one is sufficient (because why would they give you a defective one?) but temps can run 80c if you don't have decent air flow. Still in safe operating temps but just something to keep in mind. If you get one just make sure the ram you have has low profile heatsinks. The heatsinks on that Vengeance ram is entirely pointless tbh, hey don't ever get hot. Something like this will fit. Find some 1.5v or lower ram if you don't buy this pair.
