Salvia shouldn't be under that umbrella unless it's the actual leaf. Extracts over 10x are detrimental to what the plant is capable of. If you're going to pretend you're a shaman, then respect what you're smoking.

PPS: Lucinth's close to the reasoning. It's called the devil's weed to counter its benefits. As mentioned previously, it was part of the anointing process, enabling people to experience "the holy spirit". It connects you on a spiritual level, and when you're repressing the flow of information, you tend to not want people linked to the truth.
