I don't have the patience for high-maintenance pets (the kind that walks around the house and doesn't need a cage/tank), though I do find cats more pleasing to look at and a bit more fun to be around than dogs.

If destruction exists, we must destroy everything.

i love cats. had 4 of them growing up... 3 that i loved, 1 that was a complete piece of shit.

i'm not sure if there was a reason for this or if it was just pure coincidence, but on the day we were taking the last 2 of those cats to give them away (we were moving to a place with no pets), in fact in the car ride over there, i developed a violent and nasty allergic reaction to cat dander.

i was MISERABLE the whole way.

i love cats, but i can't be near them. what makes it worse is that cats seem to have an innate sense of this, and are drawn to me like i were made out of tuna and catnip. i can't walk into a room with a cat without it making a beeline for me to start purring and rubbing against my leg or trying to jump into my lap.

There's no worse feeling than that millisecond you're sure you are going to die after leaning your chair back a little too far.

Also, cats are awesome-- but when you get a nasty cat it is a REALLY nasty cat.

I grew up with cats (and dogs, and various other animals you would expect on a ranch), I have a cat now and he's the best thing ever. He takes care of himself and goes in and out as he pleases, but still likes to hang out with me and only occasionally begs for attention. He has a very amusing personality and I will be heartbroken the day I outlive him.

But, I had a roommate a couple years ago who had the most annoying cat I have ever met. I had never had such an intense dislike for an animal before I met her stupid cat, and I hated it with a passion. I wanted to drop it off the balcony, or lock it outside, or just kick it across the living room on more than one occasion. It meowed constantly, harassed my own cat, destroyed the apartment, and generally tried to ruin my life every day.

I guess it just depends on the experiences individual people have with a certain type of animal.

I really hated that fucking cat.

I find cats more enjoyable when they're animated and shot out of a cannon.

i received a nasty claw across my right hand on sunday morning at work, i was holding a male cat, aged 11, named Rocky.

the vet was replacing the bandage on his paw; over his IV drip and he just raged up and started growling and having a whinge. (rather painful, i know) he had his claws out on all his paws and was trying to get away

nevertheless, it's how the animal is brought up
