Contract is ending in a couple months so I figured I would call up Fido (aka Rogers pretty much) and see if I could get a deal.

I am disappoint in myself :( Selling out and getting the iPhone4 when I can find one in stock around me.

$47.50/mo for
200 mins
evenings/weekends @ 5pm
2500 texts
voice mail, call display
6gb data

was paying $35/mo for
100 mins
evenings/weekends @ 7pm
unlimited texts
voice mail, call display
no data

Just think about how much money they make, depressing how many people are paying the normal contracts that they advertise, then after you've been a customer for a bit and you look at other potential options they can offer a 100x better deal

i then googled around found out if you use A2 uploader on the phone and flash it back to it's original factory settings you unlock wifi on the phone.

$30 per month for unlimited everything for me (web/data, texts) but it's with a family plan AND I work for the government (NIH) which gets me an additional 15% off.

You can crack those now without violating any copyright crap thanks to a ruling from....some government bunch of twits, oddly I think it was the library of congress...so though I have no clue why you'd want an I-Phone when there's like three or more other phones out there that are better, you could at least crack the damn thing and not have to hang out on AT&T's shit fucking network.
