I played the hell out of this game for a week... then one time when I went to play again, I was asked what I wasn't getting ready for school.

I said... what?

I was then told Spring Break was over and I needed to get ready for school.

Fucking loved this game to death. Played it at Al's place 2 player so much. Of course by the time we got to some big mansion stage the game would crash. Whether it was the Megadrive overheating, or the coding being shit, i dunno. But good times.

The hedge maze levels were my favourite.

The game was a bitch to play as a 6 year old. I remember having difficulty with the magic vanishy/reappearing blocks.

Many a day spent rolling across Hyrule! This was one of my favorite songs though, it and . . . The Song of Storms!
This one here is a live version some guy did that was pretty good too.
I remember sometimes I'd be in a hurry so I'd play the song really fast but normally I tried to play it as is.

Was debating posting Marble Madness, but for all its greatness it is nothing compared to TIE Fighter, which was the logical followup to Elite 2: Frontier.

Newtonian physics, dynamic economies, and space pirates? brb, changing my pants just thinking about how much I played this game before I was old enough to even know what physics was.

Yeah, so this game is the reason (you know, aside from Star Wars being so great) that I love space combat games. Frontier is the reason I love space in general, but TIE Fighter is the reason I love fighting in space. It's hard to think of a single anecdote because this was really the only game I played from ages like 7 to 10.

(Sim City 2000 is a close runner-up to these, but it's not in space)

If destruction exists, we must destroy everything.
