Ok FUBU guys and gals it is getting close to that time of year. Some friends and I started a tradition called No-Shave-November and it is pretty simple. No shaving for the month of November. There are a couple of rules and here the go.

1. Ladies, please do not participate in NSN. You however can take part it the female counterpart CSN (Clean-Shaved-November). Pictures are encouraged and waxing gets extra points.

2. Gentlemen, you must have a clean shave Halloween night or the morning of November first if the sugar buzz from stealing your kids candy would result in a shaving accident trip to the ER.

3. You cannot shave the main part of your beard for the entire month of November. There are special rules in place for those who cannot go to work looking like grizzly Adams. They are as follows.
A. Trimming of the edges and neck are completely acceptable for those who work in an office setting or would otherwise get a "talk" from the boss about the Mayo-style neckbeard.
B. You must wash your beard properly. I will not be held responsible for the funk that can become improper beard care. If you dont know what I am talking about reply with questions.
C. If you dye your hair on your head you must do the same for your beard. No skunks.

4. Pictures are encouraged to show progress. This is not a contest but growing a real beard is a feat that should be admired.

5. NO CHINSTRAPS BECAUSE THEY LOOK GAY. This is a simple rule and violation will result in me and Eturnal showing up with baseball bats, tire irons, and some sort of firearm legal in Va or Ga.

Otherwise enjoy and let the beards grow long.

YES!

On a side note...can you please explain about proper beard care/washing?

Do I just put shampoo in it?

No thanks to this. Unless you're trying to grow a beard you're just going to look like a hobo after 2 weeks, then like complete shit after a month, only to shave it all off after.

Ok, I am not the beard expert but what I have been told is normal shampoo and conditioner will do fine in most cases. There are products made especially for beards and if anyone would like to chime in please feel free to add. In the past I have made sure to wash and dry completely every day and comb through. You would be amazed how much the ladies like a nice soft beard.

Z pics may be required.

Also remember it is not a contest but we may come up with special prizes/titles for those who grow the most. For anyone wanting to be declared king of all facialy har (or whatever) you will need to show progression pics or something starting with Nov 1.

For 1 month of growth you don't need to do much to care for it. When it gets long enough to retain water after a shower you have to be careful to comb it out and get it nice and dry or your skin will get really gross. Other than that just clean it as you clean your hair and it should be fine.

I'm going for a long winter beard atm so I won't be participating, since I would be losing >3 months of growth by that point. Good luck to those who try though.
