Further integration across 3 seperate systems and consoles.

the fact that i can buy something on a PC and use it on a 360, phone, or PC

where as with the Ipod i can only get it on 3 of the systems,

as for the new Itouch beating it out....the app store is nice, but really only useful if you own a Iphone, considering most of the apps are either crap that you really don't need.....or crap that you really don't need....

30000 fart apps on the Apple Marketplace..... which are awesome and all...but dunno, i really don't need the apps and shit, games are cool and all, Audiosurf has an app for Zune.

Basically, i like the Apple Marketplace because of how many apps there are....but i like the Zune Marketplace because of the fact that it's not filled with shit apps.

Hardware wise the Zune has the upperhand, even with new generation Itouchs.

the only reason i really am caught on is: Do i want a huge marketplace of apps where only 10% are useful, or a small marketplace of apps where all of them are useful...

Everything you say about the Apple app store vs Zune marketplace is ignorant. You must have never used the app store before. For sure when there's 200,000+ apps there's going to be a whole mess of shit apps in there but there are apps for Pandora, last.fm, Skype, IM programs, tapatalk for forums, endless amounts of games, apps for tons of websites, justin.tv, shazam for identifying music, youtube, blizz authenticator, armory, the list goes on and on depending what you're interested in. Does the Zune Marketplace even have 30 apps? I would bet even in the handful of apps that they have, there are a bunch of crappy/useless ones. That doesn't even bug me though, the thing that sucks is all of the awesome apps it lacks compared to the ipod/phone/pad.

What hardware advantage does the Zune HD have other the 4th gen iPod touch (the one with the iPhone 4 screen/processor)? Does it make it superior over the ipod?

The only cool thing I see about the Zune is if you don't download music, the Zune Pass seems pretty awesome for $15/mo. At least until you decide you don't want Zune Pass any more and are left with no music.

The whole point of a Zune/iPod isn't an MP3 player any more, they're more like pocket PC's. Games, apps, internet, push e-mail. Music is just one of their features. The iPod is just better at that role. If you think apps and everything are stupid and all you want to do is listen to music then you shouldn't even consider buying them unless you want to pay a lot of money to use 10% of the device's features, where you could get something to just listen to music for probably less than half the price.

I downloaded the "Free" Japanese/English dictionary app to my ipod. Saved myself $350US than if I had went out and bought the japanese/english electronic dictionaries.

It all comes down to which evil empire you want to give your money to, Apple or Microsoft. If it were up to me, I would go with the Samsung that Necra posted. Send your money over seas instead of to the twin headed microapplesoft dragon.
