10) A toy gun uses a spring to project a 5.3 g soft rubber sphere horizontally. The spring constant is 8.0 N/m, the barrel of the gun is 15 cm long, and a constant frictional force of 0.032 N exists between barrel and projectile. With what speed does the projectile leave the barrel if the spring was compressed 5.0 cm for this launch?

11) an object starts from rest with a potential energy of 600 J and free-falls toward the ground. After it has fallen to a height of one fourth its original height, its total mechanical energy is ____ J, its potential energy is _____ J, and its kinetic energy is ______J.

16) A certain rain cloud at an altitude of 1.75 km contains 3.20 x 10^7 kg of water vapour. How long would it take for a 2.70 kW pump to raise the same amount of water from Earth's surface fo the cloud's position?

I have 16 questions like this, FML!

fml? f=ma, or f=-kx.

no, i'm not doing your physics homework.

I'm not asking you to, I'm asking google.

ps. we've learned up to kinetic energy and we're expected to solve this

What's a spring energy.

The answer to 15 is -

Use the correct measuring device in front of the barrel to determine this.

I failed so many math classes for smart ass answers.

"Ok we aren't such things and birds are pretty advanced. They fly and shit from anywhere they want. While we sit on our automatic toilets, they're shitting on people and my car while a cool breeze tickles their anus. That's the life."

I think tomorrow I'll be having a chat with the program coordinator about how our physics teacher is being an unreasonable bitch again.

Due tomorrow, we haven't even heard learned any of this at all :p

0,0 and 25 I believe.

That's an uneducated guess.

Durp

150

Would be 25% of 600.

so, 150 instead of 25.

lol

This question made the most sense of them all, and again contained things we haven't learned in class:

16) A certain rain cloud at an altitude of 1.75 km contains 3.2 x 107 kg of water vapor. how long would it take a 2.70 kW pump to raise the same amount of water from the earth's surface to the cloud's position?

5.64 x 10^4 hours

you would've enjoyed one of the physics classes i took.

we derived each formula from one to the other, spanning the entire semester.

this is why i said i won't do your homework.

I still don't recall asking for help, merely venting frustrations to anyone foolish enough to read :3

edit: and uhh yea fuck physics

Tell me later if I was right.

You were on the right track, the Potential energy is 150J less, or 450J instead of 600J.

Unless you meant the Kinetic energy is 150J, then you're right.

Mechanical is the total, 600J
