I think both sides have very valid, straight forward opinions. Regardless of that fact, you think you're right and you know others are wrong. You KNOW that a God doesn't exist. Back that up with evidence. Prove one doesn't exist.

Religion and free speech are both protected under the same amendment of the Constitution. The non-religious aren't forcing their opposites into non-belief. In fact, it's usually a vice versa situation.

Logical discussion of religion makes people question their faith. This is good for both sides of the argument; the atheist receives the satisfaction of winning an argument and the theist begins to see things in a clearer perspective.

Those are very good at explaining things to anyone with no experience and you'll have your mind blown at just how complex the world is. Those books are written to be engaging and interesting, not boring like textbooks.

The burden of proof isn't on me. I don't say there is or isn't a God. You're the one saying there isn't and you say it with such conviction... the burden of proof is on you! You say you're right as if there was a pile of evidence behind you to substantiate your claims, however, when challenged you say you can't prove it? How can you be so right without proof -- as others have said, faith? Certainly not. You're above faith since that's the singular force that drive and upholds religion and God. Without faith, how can you be so sure?

The reason your argument about unicorns on Mars is a poor one is because we've seen the surface of mars. We have a good idea that there are no Unicorns on Mars; however, can we absolutely rule out that possibility because we haven't seen it? Besides, most theists believe God is a being that doesn't physically exist, so using physical beings on another planet is a bad analogy. My point is God might exist and you have no way of definitively knowing either way. Every year we discover new species on Earth and evidence of life in the infinite (or near infinite) Space... so, does that mean those things didn't exist until we discovered them? Did the forces of Gravity automatically manifest themselves the moment Newton thought about them? What about air - for the longest time we couldn't see air, but that doesn't mean it didn't exist. Some of these things existed long before humanity ever walked this Earth so why is it impossible that there might be a God?

It's been said already... An atheist is no different than a theist. They need faith for their disbelief in God. Atheists and Theists are two sides of the same coin. It's simple fucking logic, after all.

First of all, atheists and theists aren't two sides of the same coin. If you're a modern theist, you most likely believe in only one god or set of gods. You're an atheist in regard to every other god from the past, but you're a theist when it comes to your deity (or deities) of choice. How can you say you're right (I'm assuming you're a Christian, Eturnal) when there are thousands of years of prior faiths to contradict your relatively new philosophy?

The majority of atheists are scientifically-minded, as Joklem articulated much better than I. We don't claim to know everything, but we know (or, in some cases, think) that an invisible being who has allegedly been around forever created the universe in seven days and created womankind out of a rib after ripping said rib out of the man he created before the first woman. The same air of nonsense surrounds virtually every religion's creation myth. I'll take the big bang theory (which is supported by enough evidence to be considered the secularist's preeminent alternative to myth) over gnostic idiocy any day.

You're saying that you (like I said, I'm assuming you're a Christian based on your pro-God stance) don't believe in the physical existence of a god. But then how do you say it exists in any way? Everything exists in the physical world in some way. Sound, light, smell, happiness, et cetera. A god concept that doesn't physically exist doesn't exist at all due to our comprehension of reality. The color yuipoin doesn't physically exist, but does that mean it doesn't exist at all?

Basically, yeah, that's what it means. It doesn't exist because I made it up out of curiosity towards the expansive world around me.

And to get back to the points at hand, I actually have an incredibly large evidence deficit in the "Religious Dogma" file. There was no Noah's Ark. There was no talking snake in the Garden of Eden, nor was there a Garden of Eden to begin with. Jesus didn't turn water into wine and didn't resurrect himself from the dead to ascend into his dad's kingdom.

Do you know why? Because everything in that last paragraph is fucking impossible. There was never ANY proof of any of it ever happening aside from the "evidence" offered in the scripture itself, which was (for the most part) written centuries after the events described by completely different people. It's like playing the telephone game with the development of civilization.
