I have strayed away from newer Zelda games, Because Zelda on the 64 was magical. OoT was like, the fourth game? But it was the first one with three dimensions and the first one I actually played (I don't know if dicking around with bombs on SN Zelda with bombs counts). So I don't want my like for Link to come under what I call Energizer Syndrome.

Where you go from thinking something is an 8 to a 10, then thinking it's a 4 to a 6 because they just keep going and going and going with it, until it's bad and stale.

Not saying the new Zelda games are, but I'm not risking it.

Ocarina of Time has to be in the list of top 10 games ever made.

Ocarina of Time is actually my absolute favorite game of all time. Words cannot describe how much fun it was for me back in the day. Also, the last time you fuckers brought up OoT I had to go and beat it again. Time to dig out my N64. Thanks bros.

Speaking of words that cannot describe, I really don't know what words could possibly convey how much Halo 2 disappointed me. I went into great detail in a previous thread, but suffice it to say that I would trade the ENTIRETY of the Halo 2 campaign for this level:

[✔] [item]Thunderfury, Blessed Blade of the Windseeker[/item] (Three)
[✔] [item]Sulfuras, Hand of Ragnaros[/item] (Two)
[✔] [item]32837[/item] & [item]32838[/item]
[✔] [item]Thori'dal, the Stars' Fury[/item]
[✔] [item]46017[/item]
[✔] [item]49623[/item] (Two)
[✔] [item]71086[/item]

Oh man it's been years since I watched that and got so hyped about halo 2. Nice find.

I don't know about twilight princess (or any of the games after it) but all the ones preceding it were absolute class. My fave is still A Link to the Past but Ocarina is a very close second.

I was so damn excited about this level. Then we got to the epic part, it lasted 2 seconds and I ended up driving because marines were too stupid. No brutes. And then we left for another halo and met an octopus.

Wat.

Tried a ps2 emulator and Burnout Revenge. It didn't work so I uninstalled and deleted the game :(

twilight princess was the first major release one that left me kind of disappointed, and i've played all of the main ones side from some of the really shitty handheld ones. and not disappointed as in "wow, this game sucks", just wasn't as good as the others. windwaker was still fantastic, same with majora's mask. the newest one looks pretty awesome as well.

mario is the only zelda franchise that's had that effect on me. nothing has compared to 64. the galaxy games were good, but just not as good. metroid will never cease to be awesome because other M doesn't exist and the prime games were probably the coolest vidya i've ever done.

Dragon Age. It wasn't bad, but when it was announced I was expected Baldur's Gate 3 and it wasn't nearly good enough to merit that name.

Spore/Fable 3

They both had the potential to be pretty awesome, but... Yah....

Fable III. The original Fable, especially TLC, was fantastic, as was Fable II to a slightly lesser extent. I mean, Molyneux games are always overhyped, but those two definitely delivered on the vast majority of what he had promised out of his ass. But Fable III? Almost everything that was said to be "good" about the game turned to shit. The only things it had going for it after people realized it was such a disappointment were the (slightly) updated graphics, deeper-than-Fable-II story and a more polished combat system.

The thing about Molyneux is that he has great visions and shitty design principles. I think that if he was given more creative control and fewer deadlines, Fable as a series would turn out to be pretty good again. But seeing as how Fable: The Journey is apparently just a modified rail shooter for the waste of space that is the Kinect, I don't think that's going to be happening anytime soon.

2 was bad compared to 1. 3 was 2 only there was less and it was worse.
