Right, the reason we have crazy xenophobics and hate speech is because civilized people understand that painting all people with the same brush is moronic and small minded, and rightly ostracize those who would do it.
Well, if you want to apply Aestu logic to it, that's probably right. However, when people say things like, "it would be wise for immigrants to learn English, because it helps them to integrate into society and achieve success," which is not a radical point of view, and those people are called 'racists' or 'xenophobes,' it takes the sting away when the words are used to describe actual racists and xenophobes.

It's our fault when someone who shares your beliefs goes crazy and shoots people. Never mind the race baiting, the fear mongering. What really causes people to flip out and shoot other people is the fear of being labeled a racist.
I remember this bit from quite a few times in the past. Some guy shows up someplace and kills a bunch of people, and right off the bat, he's a "right-wing <insert pseudo-epithet here>, like the crazy who shot Congresswoman Giffords...who upon examination turned out, based on his deranged scribblings, to hold left-wing political ideals. It's sad that so many people are pining for another Timothy McVeigh, but while it's nice that you guys
FINALLY got someone who can be legitimately labeled a conservative (based on his deranged scribblings) to use for the guilt by association gambit for which the Giffords fall-out showed us you were itching, you can't say he shares my beliefs, because one of the beliefs that I hold is that shooting people who disagree with you politically isn't right.
I sincerely doubt anyone who has so little regard for not just the opinion but the very well-being of his fellow man would care about being called a racist...or anything else for that matter. He's not what I'm addressing anyway. The muzzle on honest, legitimate debate that the strictures of political correctness imposes blurs the lines between people with legitimate but controversial concerns/opinions and people like this shooter who honestly hate people because they're different, and thereby give cover to the latter at the expense of the former.

Do you read the shit you post? "People are only racist because they can't say racist shit, and that's totally your fault".
I do read the shit I post, but I'd love a glance at a hard copy of all the horseshit you're reading into it that isn't there.
