Strategically, Israel is one of the few places in the Middle East where we can use bases and coordinate airstrikes from
We've got a number of friendly air-bases around the world. Due to mid-flight refueling, we can keep bombers in the air indefinitely. We use allied airstrips not to launch bombers, but to launch cargo planes to refuel bombers we've launched from US or European bases. Missions in Iraq and Afghanistan were often refueled from bases in Turkey.

Haven't we also supported...
*Iraq in the Iraq/Iran war. I think we also supported Iran through some means (Intel) but I'm not 100% certain.
*Afghan Mujahideen's (OBL?) during the Russian invasion of Afghanistan
*Kuwait during the Invasion of Iraq
*Iraq and Afghanistan in rebuilding infrastructure in post-battle operations in the most recent wars
*Protests in both Egypt and Libya
*Billions in Aid to several countries in the middle east; tens and hundreds of millions to most others.
Kinda funny how Israel is the thing that ticks them off despite it all.
Our support of Israel happened before all the rest. It's also only an issue for certain areas, not every middle-easterner who hates America would list Israel as a chief reason. The first Iraq war a big issue as well, American troops in the 'holy land' was the biggest issue for Osama.

And lol at us for talking about wanting civility from the middle east.
It's funny you talk about our past support, because if history has taught us anything, it's never trust America.
