No, that really is what people from Orange County are like, if they're anything like they are a few counties over in Sacramento.
I remember visiting a yard sale and seeing books like, "Weapons of the SS", "The Nazi Question", and a novelty pickelhaube. For years, people drove around with gun racks on their cars until finally they were outlawed because it made the town look even more nuts.
Talking to a Sacramento resident who was forced from his homeland by "the national socialists", "You know, Ethan, when I lived in Berlin, the Nazis made everyone put a flag in front of their house. So now, with all these flags everywhere, you know, all this flag waving, it's very disturbing, you know."
It's worth pointing out that those protesters are breaking the law. Even if they aren't on the premises, they're engaging in hate speech in public and disrupting others' enjoyment on their private property. The "protest" should have been dispersed and those yelling should have been charged with hate speech, harassment, and disturbing the peace...and the reason they were not is that the cops are as bigoted as they are.
If it were up to me, that mosque would contract out a snowplow.

Oh hey, a rabbi as well. Fuck you, orthodox Jews. You're the reason everyone else with a name ending in -man or -stein gets a bad name.
It's not usually Orthodox Jews so much as Conservative Jews that are the militant, self-righteous types. Outside their fanatical support for Israel, Conservative Jews adhere to all the tenets of Judaism that Reform Jews disregard as outdated superstitions (such as not eating pork or dating gentiles), except those that might actually be difficult or unpleasant (such as not eating non-kosher meat/dairy and observing the Day of Rest).
I did a Google search about David Elizere. Interesting. He claims to be Orthodox, but his actual sect is something called Chabad which is apparently a really extreme form of evangelical Judaism. Traditionally, Orthodox Jews are not messianic or evangelical and keep to themselves and practice their medieval way of life. These guys actually believe that the Messiah has
already come, a belief which is considered heretical by almost all Jews and known to be empirically false by everyone who isn't insane.
